Ok, I did the musician quest with no problem. I failed a couple times but that was ok because I wasn't familiar with the whole performance thing at first. Now the dancer quest is another story. I have failed the 1st audience performance now a total of 20 times. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but having done the musician quest I'm pretty sure I am doing it right. Most of the times I don't get a dance or I'll get one of the flos. I can get them up to neutral, but that's as far as it goes. Is it not possible to do both the musician and the dancer quest? I sent in a ticket and they responded with report it as a bug, but as we all know they donot reply to bug reports. Is anybody else having this problem?

A few people have had problems like this, though I'm not certain that it's a bug. It could well just be a run of really bad luck.

As best we know, there's just a random roll of what the audience members will say, from a list of possible comments. Some of those are valuable information about what dances they'd like to see (or not), or flourishes they'd like (or don't). The problem with that first performance is that there aren't as many audience members, so the odds of getting good rolls for useful info isn't quite as good as with the later performance parts where there are many more audience NPC's.

Some people have gone time and time and time again on that first performance without getting enough good info to complete that stage of the quests, others have been luckier and either just guessed right, or got plenty of good audience comments purely out of a luck of the rolls. If you're on the unlucky side of things, it can be incredibly frustrating.

My best advice for this is... as hard as it is to deal with... just keep trying until you get some better rolls on audience comments, or catch a particular dance or two (or flos) that seem to push the audience rating a bit faster, and focus more on those. From all accounts, that first performance is the worst for getting the good info, and it gets a bit easier afterward.

Good luck!

The Dancer Quest is severly bugged. I failed many times because you almost never get any useful information from the audience. How I passed it was I setup a macro that cycled thru all of the dances and flourishes. It seems that doing the dance and flo they want has more impact than doing the ones they don't like.

Professional dancer on closed course, do not try this at home.

Your mileage may vary.

I have completed the dance part 5 times (and the music part twice). I have had characters zip through it with no difficulty and others that failed time after time after time. It's all a matter of luck. You can get good responces sometimes, and rotten ones others... you might get lucky and guess right with bad responces, you can end up moving out of the (teeny-tiny) spot on the stage where you are required to stand to do the performance, I have even had one show where I got good responces (at least they seemed good) and still failed to satisfy the audience (I only got up to neutral before the time was up).

The initial audition was actually kind of fun, but I hated doing the performances. I am currently working on getting the Theatrical 2 dance with each of my dancers (I've made it with 2 of them so far).

Just like Ravanne, I shifted through every dance and every flourish and managed to pass through the performances with relative ease. The only problem with this method is the action drain it takes, but you should have them satisfied well before your time is up, depending on how many dances you have.

Good luck!
