I just managed to polish off four hundred thousand experience, one hundred of which being specifically gained with Theatrical, and I got no little pop up box saying I was proficient enough to learn some new steps. Rereading what has been posted, I saw I missed the phrase "another four hundred thousand".

So, just to make sure, it is a total five hundred thousand to learn Theatrical2, right?

The additional experience needs to be dancing Theatrical 1. You will need 400,000 dance experience of Theatrical 1 in order to get that pouty choreographer to train you.

You need 100K of XP in Theatrical 1, you may not get any popup, I didn't.

It's hardly worth it, the flos are the same and they only one who will ever see the new base dance is you.

If they ever fix the base dances then having theatrical 2 will be nice since the base dance looks much much better than theatrical 1's. It is also a bit easier to control your drift with theatrical 2's base dance. But, yeppers, you will be the only one to see the difference right now if you get it. If you decide to try and get it, there are some tricks you can use to get the xp faster, like changedancing back and forth betweentheatrical and exotics to bump up the xp.

Yeesh... the only thing I can think is that I didn't quite gain one hundred thousand Theatrical experience points. Which is a viable possibility, as I can recall how much I had left over from earning the first four hundred thousand, but still! What a pain in the bum.

But! I do think another dance, whether you're the only one to see it or not, is totally worth it. Besides, it'll be fixed eventually. I'm optimistic.

And that was the problem! Yay! I finally have Theatrical2, and the base animation really is much, much better than the first one -- which was so appropriately described as making one's character look like a cheesy porn star humping.
