Are there any different bonuses when using a player city Theater vs a Cantina? Thanks!

you've got a lot more space to work with in a cantina. not only in items but in (virtual) physical dimension. a cantina can hold as much as a guild hall (250 items), while a theater can only hold as much as a small naboo (if i'm thinking correctly, 75 items). and as far as the physical dimension goes, you've got a bar, a floor, and a stageto use that allows for game mechanics (mind buffs) in a cantina. in a theater you've got a ramp and a piddly little back room. the actual theater stage is considered to be outside, as such mind buffs can't be applied from there. and as far as lots go, the cantina does take more (5 to be precise), while the theater only uses 3. imho, the additional 2 lots are completely justified when spent on a cantina. this feels like there should be another sentance here to conclude the paragraph, but my brain has completely run dry. ah well, it's a talent.

Cantina > Theater

Whoever designed the player theater needs to have their head examined. Give me a cantina any day!

Hmm... I have it in my head that player theaters cost 3 lots and hold 250 items, but have the requirement of a Rank 4 city to place, where a cantina costs 5 lots, holds 250 items, and requires a city beRank 2. The only other difference that I know of between the player theater and the player cantina comes down to the difficulties that theater stages have - no ent healing or item/prop placement, as the stage area is considered to be "outside". All of this stuff works in the backstage room of the player theater, but where's the fun in that?

I've never been able to place a player theater myself (I've been a guild leader since very early in my time in SWG, saddled with heavy PA hall lot costs), so I was digging to try to find where I got those theater numbers. No luck there so far. Can anyone who actually has a player theater confirm the lot costs and item limits?

225 items actually in a Theater. I'm still caretaking over Ravenmist's theater in New Unity on TC The theater is only 3 lots though. So, outside of storing stuff in a factory, it *is* the best storage for lots used big structure in the game. It alsois great for hostingfun events.

But, because of the outside when on stage issue, the cantina is better if you plan onusing it for anything other than events. Hopefully the devs willfix theaters someday. It is next on my list of wants after afk buff bots and broken base dances

Yes, that's right... 225 items for theaters (falling in line with the 75/lot thing... /bonkself). It's been awhile.

I'd love to see those changes to the theaters that made the structure enclosed (via invisible "walls"), therefore turning the stage and seating areas "inside", and open to all of the options that should be available. Something similar for guildhall rooftops as well.

I'd also be thrilled to death to see Architects get a new schematic for a second style of player theater that were scaled-down versions of the static city theaters; elegant showhalls to complement our existing open-air versions.

Thanks, Tess!

Welcy And yeppers, I agree. I would love to see more options for Theaters, Cantinas, Medic centers, etc for us to place. It's nice that we have a couple of options, but there definitely needs to be more variety. Player City hotels would be really fun too

This is my biggest desire for player theaters, whether it's a new option or just replaces the old ones. I may be in the minority, but even for aesthetic purposes I don't like the current player theaters. The stage is small, the angled audience area is maybe an angled audience area, maybe just the top of the structure made to look nice, it's not really clear. Overall I just don't like it . On the other hand I totally love the static city theaters - and would *especially* love them with props, should that ever happen.

As much as I love my theater and I've had a lot of fun decorating the dressing room(love my cantina more ), I'd do anything to be able to control the lighting and decorate the stage. I'm seriously thinking of giving up my theater and replacing it with a PA hall which is much more suited to the purpose.
