Thread: Is Theatrical 2 quest broken?

hi all,
my friend and I have been working on this quest for a few days now (she has been on it a little over a week), trying to get the amount of exp needed to get theatrical 2, but we never seem to have practiced enough.
is there any word on this thingy?
is it broked?

I did it not long ago and it worked fine. Do you have the extra XP it requires? Once you have "practiced enough", you'll get a big message that says you have enough xp.

I got Theatrical after the CU publish, and then began work on Theatrical 2. I did this during double xp week, and used /stopwatch to ensure I would get the inspiration bonus to dance xp.
1) When I spent the xp to learn Theatrical, I was inspired, and ended up with around -40,000 xp.
2) I finally got the popup for Theatrical 2 when I had around 200,000 xp (slightly less).
3) From this, I believe the following observations to be true.
- Doubled xp did not count toward Theatrical 2 (but the normal amount did, so if you gained 50k during double-xp week, it only counted for 25k).
- Inspiration xp does not count toward Theatrical 2 (this based on the extra amount I needed to get, rather than getting it closer to 160,000 xp).
If I'd danced *nothing* but Theatrical, I would've expected to get the popup at 180,000 (10% of the 200k xp from -40,000 to 160,000). I believe the extra 20,000 comes from using the method of doing a flourish in Exotic4 to get higher xp, and then switching to Theatrical after an xp tick to make the rest of the xp apply to Theatrical.
These are just my observations, so just take them as you will

It's bugged for a LOT of people. I actually dropped some skill boxes of dancer and regained them, just so I would not be capped and could therefore monitor my xp gain more closely, and danced NOTHING but theatrical for about a month. Never got the option for theatrical2. The bimbo at the theatre keeps telling me I need to practice more. I'm gonna practice shoving my fist in her face, that's what I'm gonna practice! *slams her fist into her palm threateningly*

I got the pop up for Theatrical2, then we had the two rollbacks on Chimaera which wiped out my xp gained. So I set off again and got another 100k, the CSRs also returned the xp I lost, but I didn't get the pop up window a second time.
I carried on with a little more Theatrical, then concentrated on gaining the 400 dancing xp. I am now capped. The choreographer says I need to practise more.

I had done the dancer's quests a couple months before the CU. At the time of the CU I had most of the dancers boxes done except the last two in both fatigue and wound healing. I used respec to get to master dancer since the ability to gain these two boxes dropped so dramatically. I got theatrical 1 about a week after that and today I got theatrical 2. I'm not sure what I did differently but it worked. I just danced nothing but the theatrical dance for like a week. I was at about 450000 total xp when I got theatrical 2 and the pop up box.

Same here. I did it after the CU and it worked just fine. I guess I got lucky.

almost 2 weeks now of nonstop theatrical dance, and still no go on getting theatrical 2.
please help.
