I purchased this game back at launch... and after awhile I lost my patience (I was a Commando, if that answers you question), so I had quit and came back at about the time speeders and what not was released, still wasn't happy with my Commando, but the heck of it, I made a entertainer. I found extreme joy in it. Was able to role-play and enjoy the social aspect of the game while playing my character. I almost got to Master Dancer (4/4/4/2) and I had to quit for personal reasons. By the time I was able to pick up MMOs again, FFXI was out and I was into that and then went into WoW.
I then heard that the CU was right around the corner.... and I thought to myself, "Maybe my Commando will live again!" After doing some research about the combat classes, I wasn't sure who to trust. I see people complaining and I think to myself that maybe it's because it's different then what they are used to. So the best thing to do was to try it for myself.
I logged in and to my amazement, my characters were there... I had figured they would have gotten purged (which SOE says they have the right to delete characters that are inactive for 3 or 6 (not sure which) months). I got on my Commando and there seems to have been alot of changes to him, so I decided before I respec'ed to do some research. I then got on my Dancer... I don't remember leaving her logged out where she was on Tatooine, but oh well. I ran to the Theed Cantina (which I remember as being a hot spot and where I spent a lot of my time). It was near death there. Not many people. Same with some other's that were popular back in the day.
I also began to think about the CU.... is Fatigue and Wounds still a factor? If not, it might take a mightly long time to get that Dancing Healing xp. So what is the current hot spots in the galaxies for dancers who enjoy socializing and role play? Any new clothes added? I heard somewhere that clothes add an effect to the dances or something along those lines? If any of you are on Ahazi, let me know, I might need to update my wardrobe. As I said, it's been awhile...as you can tell by my sig... I was proud of never hologrinding my dancing heh.

If you want to find people you could try Mos Eisley since it is now newbie central, I was in the Cantina yesterday on my server and it was nice and busy.
Battle Fatigue Healing is the only type of healing Ents do now, although the new insperation buffs do give healing XP. There are also 3 (or 6 if you class the version 2) dances available, one is available only if you do a quest for it.
Clothes things like the Leia slave girl skirt have been added among others.

Welcome welcome, and I agree with the idea of going to Mos Eisley. I went there yesterday on a whim and found it to be reasonably lively.

Yeah, thanks for the Mos Eisley tip, that place used to be a ghost town in the old days.
It was packed when I first started during the free trials at around publish 9, but it did die down a lot after JtL was released and the new characters could start all over the place.
Eisley is the new boom town/place where all the cool cats go!
