OK, so I went to the MOP and set up my little buff-bot to try an experiment with the new covercharges. All time spent was with my AFK tag up even when I was present doing mail and chatting in /tells.
1 hour @ 1,000c per watch gained 15,000c. Also in the cantina were: 1 dancer @ 6k, 1 dancer @ 5k, 1 dancer @ free, 2 musicians both @ 5k.
Changed fee:
1 hour @ free per watch gained 5,000c. Same entertainers less 1 musician.
Changed fee:
1 hour @ 5,000c per watch gained 5,000c. Also in the cantina were: 1 dancer @ 6k, 1 musician @ 5k.
In general the 1,000c fee seemed to work best even with a dancer there for free. A review of the chat log during this time did turn up some interesting conversations however; several people made comments about the free entertainers and the fact that they had no intention of tipping them at all.
In the future I think I will continue dancing in PC cantinas ATK with a nice set schedule. I normally do 4 hours a night on Fri & Sat nights and generate an average of 100k-200k per night actually playing the game and being social; compared to 3 hours and 25k in a much more crowded environment.

maybe you could like....try talking in spatial with the cantina patrons/other entertainers......change up your dancing routine so you actually HAVE a routine that ummm....looks nice?
I dont use cover charge....but i talk actively with everyone around me....and i make a gooddeal more than 15k per hour (though i dont really need the money...i just dance for the joy of it 
)

I think the original poster was an ATK person pretending to be AFK to see the differences between the way people tip AFK versus ATK people.

well if so then i apologize...but the "buff-bot" comment, and the way he said "AFK tag up even when i was present doing mail and chatting..." - i read that as he was AFK most of the time and popped in every now and then
if i mis-read that, then i apologize

Zuri runs one of the ATK-only cantinas on my home server of Eclipse, so yeah, she was only doing it to test responses
