I did some searching and I couldn't find any updated 'dance cards' (You know, the list of dances and flourishes with timing information) If anyone has an updated list, could you please post them?

Thanks in advance

I've got most things timed out and aliased so I can post them when I get home. If I forget send me a PM to remind me.

I will note that I have not successfully been able to achieve a wander-free dance with Tumble. Most of the other dances I can get it (or close) but Tumble, no matter what I do, I can't seem to get it. The timings are right, but going from one flo into another, sometimes the character just bounces to one side no matter what I do... so you will have to take those timings with a grain of salt.

The rest should be reasonably accurate, since putting them back to back more or less prevents major wandering (you can't avoid some with things like lyrical, formal, and theatrical due to server lag, but you can stave off most of it). HOWEVER, people have noticed that things such as how many chat windows you have open, network connection speed, etc, can have an effect on flourish timings. So you will need to test them all on your system.

Anyway if no one else has done it I will post what I have tonight.

Here are the timing parts of my alias file. The way I do it, I time the flourish a few times (and take the mean) then I put the timed bit into an alias file, alaising the flourish to itself + a pause, so for instance if I type /popf1, I automatically do a flourish 1 from popular (no matter what dance I had been doing before, hence the /changedance), with the proper pause after it. By stringing them together, e.g.,

/popf1 popf2 popf3 endpop

I can make a dance with very little drift and almost no base dance (again, pending server/client lag, which can never be precisely accounted for).

Here we go:

POPULAR:

popf1: /changedance popular2; /flo 1; /pause 11;/
popf2: /changedance popular2; /flo 2; /pause 11;/
popf3: /changedance popular2; /flo 3; /pause 14;/
popf4: /changedance popular2; /flo 4; /pause 12;/
popf5: /changedance popular2; /flo 5; /pause 12;/
popf6: /changedance popular2; /flo 6; /pause 11;/
popf7: /changedance popular2; /flo 7; /pause 11;/
popf8: /changedance popular2; /flo 8; /pause 11;/

POPLOCK

ppf1: /changedance poplock2; /flo 1; /pause 15;/
ppf2: /changedance poplock2; /flo 2; /pause 16;/
ppf3: /changedance poplock2; /flo 3; /pause 15;/
ppf4: /changedance poplock2; /flo 4; /pause 16;/
ppf5: /changedance poplock2; /flo 5; /pause 19;/
ppf6: /changedance poplock2; /flo 6; /pause 15;/
ppf7: /changedance poplock2; /flo 7; /pause 15;/
ppf8: /changedance poplock2; /flo 8; /pause 15;/

THEATRICAL

th1: /changedance theatrical; /flo 1; /pause 12; /
th2: /changedance theatrical; /flo 2; /pause 8; /
th3: /changedance theatrical; /flo 3; /pause 9; /
th4: /changedance theatrical; /flo 4; /pause 7; /
th5: /changedance theatrical; /flo 5; /pause 13; /
th6: /changedance theatrical; /flo 6; /pause 5; /
th7: /changedance theatrical; /flo 7; /pause 7; /
th8: /changedance theatrical; /flo 8; /pause 11; /

FORMAL

fmf1: /changedance formal2; /flo 1; /pause 16;/
fmf2: /changedance formal2; /flo 2; /pause 17;/
fmf3: /changedance formal2; /flo 3; /pause 16;/
fmf4: /changedance formal2; /flo 4; /pause 15;/

LYRICAL

lyrf1: /changedance lyrical2; /flo 1; /pause 26;/
lyrf2: /changedance lyrical2; /flo 2; /pause 23;/
lyrf3: /changedance lyrical2; /flo 3; /pause 20;/
lyrf4: /changedance lyrical2; /flo 4; /pause 25;/

BASIC *

bscf1: /changedance basic2; /flo 1; /pause 12;/
bscf2: /changedance basic2; /flo 2; /pause 12;/
bscf3: /changedance basic2; /flo 3; /pause 13;/
bscf4: /changedance basic2; /flo 4; /pause 12;/
bscf5: /changedance basic2; /flo 5; /pause 12;/
bscf6: /changedance basic2; /flo 6; /pause 12;/
bscf7: /changedance basic2; /flo 7; /pause 16;/
bscf8: /changedance basic2; /flo 8; /pause 16;/

* For Basic, I have not checked their timings since the dance flourishes were changed (around the same time as breakdance and tumble were added). The other timings are still correct as far as I know.

EXOTIC 2-4 (I never dance Exotic 1)

extwof1: /changedance exotic2; /flo 1; /pause 16; /
extwof2: /changedance exotic2; /flo 2; /pause 12; /
extwof3: /changedance exotic2; /flo 3; /pause 12; /
extwof4: /changedance exotic2; /flo 4; /pause 14; /
exthreef1: /changedance exotic3; /flo 1; /pause 19.5; /
exthreef2: /changedance exotic3; /flo 2; /pause 12; /
exthreef3: /changedance exotic3; /flo 3; /pause 14; /
exthreef4: /changedance exotic3; /flo 4; /pause 21.5; /
exfourf1: /changedance exotic4; /flo 1; /pause 32; /
exfourf2: /changedance exotic4; /flo 2; /pause 24.5; /
exfourf3: /changedance exotic4; /flo 3; /pause 24; /
exfourf4: /changedance exotic4; /flo 4; /pause 15; /

TUMBLE

tmbf1: /changedance tumble2; /flo 1; /pause 9.8; /
tmbf2: /changedance tumble2; /flo 2; /pause 8.8; /
tmbf3: /changedance tumble2; /flo 3; /pause 6.9; /
tmbf4: /changedance tumble2; /flo 4; /pause 7.9; /
tmbf5: /changedance tumble2; /flo 5; /pause 6; /
tmbf6: /changedance tumble2; /flo 6; /pause 6; /
tmbf7: /changedance tumble2; /flo 7; /pause 6.1; /
tmbf8: /changedance tumble2; /flo 8; /pause 8; /

I do not have footloose re-done since they changed it (I tend to just dance it by hand). I also haven't re-timed rhythmic (I rarely use that dance). I do not do breakdance as it does not fit my character concept (my character is an elegant ballroom type, not a street dancer). And as I said, tumble is correct, but it still won't stop drift no matter what I do.

Now then, please remember that these are ALIASES and not macos. They are designed to be used by "concatenating" them. An example from my formal/lyrical combo dance is as follows:

fmlyst: /echo ** START FORM-LYR DANCE **; /
fmlyend: /echo ** END FORM-LYR DANCE **;
formlyr: /fmlyst lyrf1 fmf2 lyrf3 fmf1 lyrf4 fmf4 lyrf2 fmf3 lyrf1 fmf2 lyrf3 fmf1 lyrf4 fmf4 lyrf2 fmf3 fmlyend

All I do is load the aliases (or they auto load if they are in aliases.txt), and then I can type /formlyr, and I will see echoed in chat, ** START FORM-LYR DANCE **, then I will do the lyrical and formal flourishes in the "formlyr" list, and then I will see ** END FORM-LYR DANCE ** when it's all done.

Again, please please remember that these timings work for MY client with MY amount of lag on MY system. You will need to test them out and almost definitely make some tweaks for your own system.

Enjoy.
