Thread: Interesting Dancing Finds(Flourish Rates)!
I was wondering what would be the best flourish rate(a flourish for every so many seconds) so that I would get the optimum exp as well as optimum action usage. Usingfootloose(level 3 dancing style), I was able that a flourish every 30 seconds, or every 3 exp pulses,should be fairly optimum. Note: Because I only tested footloose, theoretically thishypothesis should only be for the footloose style, but I imagine these results are constant with all other dancing styles.

1. The first thing I did was see the exp pulse gains, so I performed one flourish andrecorded the exp pulses until they stopped. There are approximately 10 seconds between each exp pulse and I determined that in one cycle(the amount of time to deplete action bar and the amount of time to fully rest) is approximately 40 flourishes plus about 4 minutes(240 seconds)of rest time.
Example Data:
Pulse | Exp Gain | Total Cycle Time
1 141 pulsex 10 secondsx 40 flourishes+ 240 seconds = 640 seconds
2132 pulsesx 10 secondsx 40 flourishes + 240 seconds =1040 seconds
311 3 pulses x etc. = 1440
4104 pulses x etc. = 1840
595 pulses x etc. = 2240
6 86 pulses x etc. = 2640
7 77 pulses x etc. = 3040
Accumulative Exp Gain in respective order of pulses: 14, 27, 38, 48, 57, 65, 72, etc.....
Total Exp Gain for 40 flourishes in order of pulses(Accumulative Gain x 40) : 560, 1080, 1520, 1920, 2280, 2600, 2880
Exp Per Second (Total Exp / Cycle Time) in respective order: .875, 1.039, 1.056, 1.044, 1.018, .984, .947
As you can see, the third number(1.056) has a higher Total Exp Gain to Cycle Time ratio then all the others. Therefore, I have found that flourishing every thirty seconds, or every 3 pulses of exp, tends to yield optimum performance.
Note: There were a total of 12 pulses of expbut there is no reason to post all 12 pulses because you can really see the trend in the first 5 pulses even.
Sorry just re-read this... I'm not flaming or anything, but I cannot imagine playing this game, especially as an entertainer, focusing on something like this.
Besides, if you want to get technical, you would have to factor in the fact that there are medics in the cantinas all the time healing action points, so you should just flourish all the time.
PLUS, if you get basic medical skills you can heal action points without stimpacks so you never have to stop more than a few seconds.
hard to do this alot of factors that affect a dancers exp rate
!. how many people are in the group
2. Do you have a healer in the group
3. the closer to the same lvl of skill players are the exp gets higher per tick
4. I've herd not sure about this one that if players /appluad /clap and /cheer for you. you get an exp bonus too.
5. the higher lvl dance you use the more action points you spend to do a flourish.
If you can crunch the numbers onall that more power too you.
