Just a little tip on style.
You know that if you hit an arrow key to change the direction of your dancing it automatically invoke the /stopdance command.
That doesn't occur when in 1st person mode. If you want to throw some turns and direction changes into your dancing or simply turn to face a particular customer, slide forward into 1st person mode and start varying your direction. Adds a litle variety.
You can't really see what you're doing very well unfortunately. However I've tested this on my char while watching my char on someone elses screen and it is very effective.

Thanks for the tip...I noticed that last night. Everytime I tried to turn it stopped dance on me. Good to know there is still an option to use turns while dancing. ![]()

I use the eq style keyboard layout, chase camera off,and have no problems turning in 3rd person--plus you can use the mouse to zoom the view around.
If you use rhythmic flourish one, you will walk a few steps forward, then a few back. If you spin around between, you can move around the dance floor, dance around guys, or whatever. It works pretty well. Basic flourish 8 can do the same thing.

I use the MMORPG keyboard layout, with chase cam on,and though I usually use the arrow keys to move, I turn on mouselook (right-click) and pan around to change the direction I'm facing as I dance. This is no problem in third person.

Yes, with any keymap that maps the left and right arrows to Turn Left/Right instead of Move Left/Right, you can use the arrows to turn in 3rd person while dancing. Also, if you toggle Chase Cam on, you can use the mouse in mouselook mode as Lilin has said, or use the camera rotation keys (4 & 6 on Numeric Keypad for left and right) to turn you while dancing. The Chase Cam trick can be done with any keymap, so if you like moving left/right with the arrows and don't want to remap them to turn, that could be a good way to go. Formal flourishes combined with a few well-timed turns can really move you around a room fast! :-)
