BEAUTIFUL. Well, mostly. I try not to stop flourishing so I don't have the fourth grade dance recital look going on for very long. hehe Also, are there really only 4 flourishes for it? Last night while I was dancing flourishes 5-8 of my formal were flourishes 5-8 from footloose. Whaa? Was I bugged or is that really how it is?

Also, that is a REALLY hard dance to fit into a cantina! (Why do they all look the same, **edit** is that!) I was having to go over in the corner to dance without running into people/things. Fortunately, I'm the only one with the dance in our group so far, so all the customers were coming over to see me. yay

Anyway, yea... great dance though, can't wait for the "real" version of it!

Yep, there's only four flourishes for it. =( After footloose, pretty much every other dance (I don't know about lyrical or exotic) pretty much follows the same format: flourishes 1 - 4 are unique, and 5 - 8 are shared with some other dance. You also do move a lot, but it's always to the right of your character, so you can arrange yourself just so to miss everyone standing around you.

Actually, unless they changed it, there are really only 3 flourishes unique to Formal. Last I knew #3 and #4 were the same. It's still my favorite dance though. (So far, at least -- haven't seen Lyrical and Exotic.) I only lament that Formal2 is stuck in Master Entertainer where I will likely never learn it. No interest in being a Musician, and ID is iffy right now. Dance on!

when do you get exotic, and lyrical?

Formal really is beautiful, been doing it with a partner or two last day or so and that really looks awesome. As far as solo dancing by myself I'm pretty fond of Poplock right now. Not nearly as beautiful or graceful but it sure is fun. Popular is pretty lame Its alright I guess but I don't tend to do it for long, usually switch to another pretty fast.

Yeah, you're right 'Seph, formal 3 & 4 are the same (boo). Of course, the ultimate insult would be if getting Formal2 in Master Ent. unlocked a different flourish 4 or something....arg, I shouldn't have even thought that.

Hmm. If I'm remember correctly, I think you get Lyrical in Dance Knowledge III and Exotic in Dance Knowledge IV of the Dancer profession. They're pretty high up there.

Why are there only 4 flourishes for each dance? Given that the flourish is, by and large, exactly how a given dancer personalizes his or her dance, shoudlnt there be like...dozens? Heck I could see an add on or patch be totally viable if it was simply a large addition to the entertaining professions, starting with dozens of flourishes per dances, if not more dances as well.

We can only hope Hatch. It really is tough not to make things too repetitive or to personalize dances with 4 flourishes, having even a couple more would be a godsend.

Well I finally got master entertainer last night and formal2 is lovely. There are still only 3 unique flourishes as 3 and 4 share the same animation. However the generic non-flourishing animation for formal2 is fantastic. Watch where you put your feet in the clumsy formal1 dance and then imagine that as fluid andgraceful as the flourishes.

Also footloose2 has a very nice non-flourish animation. If you do flourish 1 you'll see your char become really animated with arms swinging up at the sides, just before you do the step forward, step behind jazzy bit. The cycling animation between flourishes is that basically. Very energetic and in keeping with the whole dance, as opposed to having the dramatic flourishes and then looking like a poor man's poplock inbetween. It still only has 2 unique flourish animations though. 3 and 4 are identical to 1 and 2.

Unfortunately I made roads into dancer before I went and got myself a slitherhorn and master entertainer and so poplock is still the best exp for me to do the majority of the time.

Well done Cabiliz! Be a while before I become a Master Entertainer. I'm shooting straight for Master Dancer, although I do have Music I already, and some toward Music II. But once I finishin dancing I cant wait to finish the rest of the entertainment tree and get Master Entertainer, will be great to have a nice formal style.
