I'm interested in knowing how many of us would be willing to perform not in the cities but just outside where players that needed BF healing had to pay a cover charge to enter.

Homes have the ability to charge an entrance fee if public. There are admittance lists (those that "work" there). I'm wondering if I could drum up enough interest to make this work. A small % "wage" plus what you make in tips. Every entertainer would aquire credits from this, and if popular enough things could take off.

It's a small building block to a city, but wouldnt it be wonderful to have a player town created by the NEED of our services? =)

I would just so I could have control over who entered and came. But on the other hand, I do like access to a variety of people in public cantinas.

But dancing in private cantinas - a YES from me.

A chef? God I wish you were on Eclipse. My Medic would buy you out of house and home if you could make brain food.

I like the idea...as a sepreate venu, but using it replace public cantinas isn't so hot. You'd end up with a monopoly on healing, and someone would start charging 10 bucks a minute or something for it,a nd then I'd just have to have battle fatiuge for ever. Medics get that FAST when they tend wounds and damage.

I have a item in my inventory called "medium naboo house"....the winds of change approach =)

I think in the design, it was mentioned. However with the "non tippers unite" mentality on my server, it's being pushed =)

Why WOULDN'T you perform in the player owned cantinas? There's no downside for us, only for the audience.

Our PA already has one planned that I'll be dancing at, but I'm not the owner. Still, I'm very confident that the proprietors will keep it a wonderful place to work in. Once player cities go in, I'm going to guess that the private cantinas will end up being very popular since they can cater to specific clientelle if they choose to.

I had thought you were on bloodfin, my mistake! I'll definitely drop by then as my pure entertainer =)

I think the downside for us is the downside for the audience. The enforced cover charge will keep the low tippers from tipping at all. That's assuming a rag-tag goup of a pick-up band.

If, however, you make a band, have a name on the planet, and tour a lot, people might be willing to pay the ticket price to see your show as well as tip for the service. We'll see how the economy works it but all the lazy entertainers who like the AFK style of play will still be at the cantinas playing for free for the AFK battle fatigued people.
