One of my favorite aspects of SWG is the beautiful cities and environments that are provided for us all to enjoy. Unfortunately, since I'm a Dancer, I don't get to see the cities and environments often enough.

Would it be possibleto designate a couple additional areas within each city where healing both mind and BF functions?

The cantinas are small, cramped and dark. I know that they're intended to resemble the cantinas in the SWG movies, but I'd really love the option to dance in some of those outdoor theaters around the cities, or even in those big spacious theaters!

If you go into a small town (so that you can breathe, and not bump into your fellow dancers) then not only are you dealing with less experience ... but you're also staring at boring cantina walls. If you go into busy cities, you can barely breath, move, speak because there are so many people crammed into a very tiny tiny space.

At the very least, please, please, can we get the standard cantina redesigned to be a little bit brighter ... provide a little bit more space? At the best, can we have an outdoor location within the city where healing BF and mind works?

There are outdoor stages in some of the towns, I have not had a chance to see if you can perform there and heal battle fatigue or not. There are open-spacious theaters you can perform in and also the hotel's work.

The problem is thateveryone goes to the cantina so you can dance for days somewhere else and only see the occasional explorer peeking in.

Hotels also work.

So do player owned cantinas, which will slowly become busier...and are, of course, configurable.

Buy a house (make sure the floorplan is conducive to waltching entertainers...for instance, on Naboo, the medium house is better than the large house for this, because of the layout), make it public, and whallah...you have a cantina and/or hospital.
You need to do more to decorate & promote, of course, but as far as the *code* is concerned, that house can now do everything a cantina or a hospital can.

I haven't been able to heal anyone in any of the outdoor stages, nor at the one theater I tried. I didn't try healing int he hotels.

I don't mind that so much. I just want to feel that if an explorer peeks in, that my dancing will do some good. <chuckle>

Never seen one of these, though I'd love to set one up.

There are several player owned Cantina's on starsider, as one example - you just have to ask around a bit

That being said, I've never been to any town that has both a cantina and hotel where the hotel gets any traffic, nearly everyone goes to the cantina. Personally, it depends on the town. In Keren, the cantina is more open, has fewer NPCs and has a larger, open area for performing than somewhere like Bestine, for example.

The problem right now with player cantinas is for those still working on achieving master, because you will advance in healing more slowly than you would a public cantina. Heck, even with keren as my home cantina, I have made trips to bestine to grind healing, just because of the lack of constant.. hurt .. traffic =)

Just a couple of notes...

1. You can dance to heal battle fatigue and mind in the cantina, hotel AND theatre already. I have moved to the hotel in Dearic and also rehearse in the theatre on a regular basis. However, if you don't like the lighting in the cantina, then the hotel is even darker. Make sure you use your personal light source (ctrl and l) if you aren't already as this makes a big difference in the cantina, though not much of one in the hotel.

2. As Swann mentioned - player owned cantinas provide a nice change of venue - speak with your local PAs about performing for them. Most are keen to have resident dancers and musicians.

3. There is nothing stopping you from leaving the cantina. Go out to the starport and entertain those waiting for the shuttles... Perhaps a little show for the crafters by the crafting station. Or go out with a hunting troupe and entertain them in the camp. There are lots of opporunities for you to see the world - you just need to take them or make them
