Well the day has arrived, those of you who didnt take the time to load up on the TC and see the new dance flo's for yourself and flood the boards with dissatisfaction will have your day on the "LIVE" servers.

Now we are stuck with them. I truly hope you are as angry with them as i am .

What dances were you able too look at? Did they just change the non-unique flourishes or did they adjust all of them?

Stuck with what?

I read the final notes the only valid dance additions <lyrical> have been omited.

We get poplock and rhythmic <oh joy>

I guess I shouldnt complain because at least some change was made.

As it stands right now tho Master Dancer is the LEAST gratified profession out there in terms of return on skill.

I wont give up tho I love to dance and will continue to dance.

I would just like to see us get some more attention.

No we may not be out there forming and forging the world but I tell you what...without us dancers none of the others would be either.

First off my point was not about what they omitted.

Yes i looked at them all and they all stink. They did change only the non-unique flourishes in the routines. But the problem here lies in the fact that using those particular flo's to transistion into other dance flo's using /changedance command have been compromised.

The new animations are really REALLy awful, having seen them first hand i can tell you that you will be truly dissapointed. This game is supposed to raise the bar, not lower it.

The new animations are not motion captured, so hence the animations are jerky and spastic. The timeing on them is all wrong, and the avatar bends and moves in unnatural ways.

And as you pointed out yes Master dancer does cause dissatisfaction for alot of people, but this change makes that even worse. They fixed nothing. They made it worse.

YOu thought you were dissatisfied before?

Wait till you see the change yourself.

And as i said those of you who actually took the time to see them yourselves will back me up on this whole arguement. With that said in the future i would hope that more of you will "Take the time" to check them out in the future when they add more.

We can only make things better if we see a problem before it goes live. Since we did not, we are stuck with the second rate things they have given us

Truer words were never spoken.

Had I known that Dancer was to become the red-headed stepchild of the professions, a useless afterthought, I would never have taken it up. I'm not even sure I would have started SWG quite frankly -- I thought Dancing/Entertainment signaled a new approach to MMRPGs that valued RP and social interaction equally with the "kill stuff/get loot/level up" approach.

The scales have fallen from my eyes, though. It's looking more like those who took the grind approach to the crafting professions on Day One are going to be the only Masters we have, and they're filthy rich. It looks like those who exploited the Baz Nitches are the only fighters with millions of credits and the best weapons. I have yet to hear of one duper/cheater who has been banned for accumulating millions of rare resources.

I can live with all that but only if I feel that my first love, Dancing, has the same value and respect from SOE as other professions. I don't feel that way right now, and I'm struggling with it. The day I feel compelled to surrender my Master Dancer is the day I hit the "Cancel" button, and that day drew a little closer with today's patch.
