1. Deny Service:

Everyone has a yes/no option in everything. Want to craft this item? yes/no Want to accept this duel? yes/no Want to purchase this item? yes/no

Want to allow this player to watch you even tho yes a harrassing fool or an opposing faction and the only reason he can heal himself is caused he killed you to begin with so you would have to heal him thus preventing you from supporting your chosen cause?

yes deny service!

Deny service!

umm....Deny service!

I think my button is broke its not working...guess Ill have to heal my enemy after all so he can kill another faction member which I cant support cause if I go Overt to deny helping my enemy my enemy kills me.

<shrug> ok moving on.....

2.

Lets see we got quite a few Master Dancers now who have leveled up and achived their goal so lets give them a few new moves....

Oh wait...survey says most of the Original Master Dancers have moved on to combat professions....I wonder why....oh well Lets reward the young Dancers!

Give them new moves in...say....Rhythmic and Poplock! I know I know they are not the High level dances but hey give them to the part time dancers filling in the void of skills left over from their main profession...they will never complain about it cause its the best thing they have anyways! And while your at it make it a sub par effort, give it to the temp's in back tell them to work out a few moves for us and put our main designers on the new animations for the Rankor! Everybody loves the Rankor!

3.

Im not even going to go into the fact that any other profession out there has the OPTION to train up in helper skills to REDUCE cost of special moves!

The three above things would have had us Dancers dancing in the streets with happiness for MONTHS.

Now I know the above statements have alot of sarcasm in them, but I think we have a right to be a little peeved here.

We get to master dancer and exotic 1 and 2 have two moves to each dance and each move is a copy of the dance before it....exotic 3 has 2 moves as well but they are mirror images of each other...finally exotic 4 woot! I get 2 moves.

Sony do you really think this is fair? Reward versus Effort? You stand in a cantina for hours days weeks on end and you tell me if you think its fair. I would like to see you put one person in charge of leveling a dancer up and no you cant use god mode to help him out. No cheating...you stand there and you work for your exp and your tips you stay awake and you work the crowd praying you make enough money to afford the next training session, or that new outfit you need. Then you tell me if the Dancing Proffession is a fair deal.

You have alot of Masters left, but your losing them by the day because we believe you when you say its gonna get better. Well Im not willing to give up yet, Im hoping its going to get better, so Im still dedicated and still dancing, but its not my skills that keep me there day in and day out, you failed in that depatment. Its my friendships and my love of socializing.

Its time to take Dancers off the back burner and give us a bit of love Sony, if we all go the way of the Dinasaur whos gonna heal the mind and Battle Fatigue? A robot? maybe give it to the Doctors? Surgeons? or the Chefs?

But what will you do with the cantinas then? The HUB of any town. I think Jabba would quit as well maybe you could turn his place into fencnig compound, or a hide a way for the smugglers.

Well Im thru I normally dont rant like this I normally try to make my point in a more constructive manner, but I guess Im just fed up.

I'll just keep on Dancing and keep on hoping that you do the right thing someday.

We don't need deny services the day SoE puts deny service abilities on performers is the day that I

1) delete the master dancer since the whiners have won and the cantinas will become even more full of people that don't respect the entertainer class. Denying services just says yep we are the only people in the game that are too good to do missions so gimme money for learning a novice skill.

2) add novice entertainer to all character that do not have entertainer abilities

3) never step foot in a public cantina again

That's right, people who want deny services are wah wah. You get XP for people watching. Just ignore them and then report them if they go too far. USE what we already have. It's not broken.

The only deny service functions we need are already in the game. They're called /report and /ignore.

I have better things to do with my time than to sit there and click a button every time a patron walks into my cantina.

However, EroTka has one good point:

Oh wait...survey says most of the Original Master Dancers have moved on to combat professions....I wonder why...

I drop by the local cantinas when my Battle Fatigue is too high, and see if I can help out the dancers with training, tips, and xp. The ratio of 'dabblers' (smugglers or Scouts with novice dance) and underwear-spammers to serious dancers is dangerously high now. The percentage of dancers left who are in it for the sheer, focused enjoyment of dancing are declining and it's sad -- and I'm one of those who reached Master, got tired of dealing with being /licked and moved on. I miss Dancing terribly, but I need a reason to go back.

This is the stuff for a new thread. I think I'll go post it now. The future of Dancing is in trouble.

This is the most awful idea I have ever ehard of. Not only does it violate the spirit of what an entertaienr is all about it also is plain silly if your dancing or playing you ahve no controll over who is or is not entertained. I know there are some real jerks in the game that make it hard on entertaienrs at times but your audiance is your audiance, if you want to deny service stop the performance.
