Hey friends, just for the record, my buffs last up to 3 hours, not 2. So if the devs are capping yours there, you might ask "Why?"

In defense of doctoring,I do have to take artisan for surveying and scouting for harvesting (or pay a crapload to others) and harvest 8 resources to make them. Still, if I can buff for 2700 points for 3 hours (and I can), then why shouldn't you be able to? Only warning here is that doctor buffs vary a LOT, and the same pack that gives me 2300 this time may well give me 600 next time. See if you can avoid that... the docs hate it.

A second thing... I can apply a buff every 15 seconds or so that lastsfor hours, and the devs are going to make your application time what, an hour? How is that even?

I'd love to see a "personal dance" (I guess for some, something like a lapdance) that takes you 15 seconds to do, costs you lots of action, but gives a specific patron the max mind buff you can provide.

And in lieu of resources, why not have it cost you something else? Doc buffs cost thousands of creds to produce... any suggestions on what perishable goods you might sacrifice to buff? I'd love to see a powerful one for you, and am curious about your thoughts. It strikes me that if time is the limiting factor on your buffs that the cantina lag will be unspeakable because you'll have hundreds of people AFK watching you. Nobody wants that.

Suggestions from a Master Doc. Congratulations on your pending un-nerf. I hope the devs get it right!

I like the idea sounds good and that what i would expect from a buff not 60 mins of boreing time wasteing sitting in cartina when you really want be pve or pvping.

Resources that pretty easy make cost a few gemstones and reactive gas and then place pirotechics and glitter in entertainer anitmation. The better resources the better the buff.

Then you will truely have a buff that combat professions will want to get spending 60 seconds watching a dancers light show for 60 mins buff is fine.

Spending 30 mins watching a dancer is not fun and i do respect the players who injoy it but please each to own thing. Its not the most attractive thing to all players in SWG to sit in cartina and is same as entertainer saying i dont injoy pvping that is not to say some people injoy both.

But your buffs need to be player friendly other wise wont matter how usefull they are if time sink is bad anoth everyone will hate you

Good idea Doc ty for your support. As far as ppl hating us more well they cant hate us more than they already do (talking bout the hard core gaming grunts). Reason most ppl have to stay in cantina so long is that most higher level entertainers end up leaving cantinas for private ones or to run missions. Higher level usually can get even the worst bf/mind wounds out in no time. Think max ppl have had to watch me is 7 min max so i dont understand the fuss bout downtime...good time to use facilities and get food lol. Anyway entertainers can also heal in camps so if even short down time unacceptable...let one of us come with you hehe. Not sure atm if we can do mind buffs in camps...if not then it is again a worthless add on.

I have the right to remain silent...but not the ability

The down time i mention is totaly related to new buff times . I have no problems with current healing times for Battle fatgue or mind wounds as that takes max 10 mins. So i enter cartina spend 10 mins healing my mind wounds tip dancer leave i got a 20 min buff i run to mission terminal get a mission.

5 mins gone ,Run to mission location 5 more mins gone, complete the mission and run to town and sit in cartina for 20min to rebuff.

Sorry thats not a good buffing system what would be good is i enter cartina see tina the master dancer and fred master musician . I ask for buffs they says 500 credits i pay 500 credits they do a 60 second animation for buffs. I get a 60 min or more mind / willpower / forcus buff.

Everyones happy Entertainers happy as got new money makeing system

Combat Players happy as can get the buff hassel free and do what entertains them.

Also consider how painfull going be i sit in cartina for 30 mins buffing up i travel to my mission have some bad luck and die. Buffs gone and players can wait again for 30 mins i dont think so

First, let's use some morecurrent numbers. Under the new system being tested on TC, those same 10 minutes of /watching will yield a 90-minute+ buff. That's to DOUBLE Mind Pool! I don't know many PvPers who wouldn't be willing to take a 10 minute break and come back with their mind pool doubled (or more if they're /listening to a musician at the same time and get Focus/Willpower doubled as well).

You can already buff mind in field camps. You don't have to spend 5 minutes running back to town if you have an entertainer along with you.

That's not the way it's going to be once the test stuff goes live. Maybe I have more faith in other players, but I think doubling mind pool is going to get a lot of them excited and remedy one of the biggest complaints in PvP right now. I'm even going to throw my Dancer into the GCW once it comes, so she can get the Faction bonuses to buffs and healing.

At the top of this thread, you claimed that Dancers don't use any resources to buff. Now you acknowledge that even 30 minutes in a cantina is "painful". You should try sitting in a cantina for 2 months The resource we usetp creatour buffs is time - that most precious of all resources for everybody.

I still stand by giving them the ability to make a container that holds a liquid and a round flat object that can hold eadible materals.

They would require the dancer to use a food and chemical crafting tool , this rare items would then hold the buffs inside of them and would be consumable by anyone player who makes a trade with the entertainers.

we could even make a little bar on the character sheet that limits the amount of this magical eadible items and drinkable items . so no one character could use a million of them.
