Dancer Archive

If there is one ability that a doctor lacks, it is the ability heal the damage & wounds of the mind/will/focus pools. They are also unable to buff the mind/will/focus pools. It is through this mechanic, that ofmusicians and dancers being the only ones able to healsuch wounds and battle fatigue, that players are essentially forced to come watch us perform after enough time in combat. While some can swallow this forced-dependance, I'm not liking the effect it is having.

I'd like to suggest an addition to the dancer that I feel would add to our profession without taking away from any other or throwing the game out of whack. This would be the ability to buff the mind/focus/will pools through the use of ourlight shows inline with what a doctor is capable of.I don't think it would be something of necessity, just something optional that a dancer would be able to offer.

This would also apply to musicians as well.

Thoughts?

While we're at it I don't like that people have to go to doctors to heal health and action woulds. People shouldn't have to leave combat at all.

Okay, more seriously.. This is coming. In fact, it's being discussed in several very recent (As in top or near top) threads.

Lol I am always for new skills but frankly dont care about trying to keep ppl out of cantinas lol. Everyone should get friends to help them test time vs level healing to see just how long it takes. According to ppl I have talked to downtime in med center a LOT longer than cantina because doctors/medics heal one person at a time (thats when its busy). So far longest downtime has been 7 minutes on whom I hve tested ..I am master dancer and that particular guy had 521 bf. Now multiple ppl can click and heal on us at one time. It is longer I realize for lower level professionals but come on it isnt near as long as some have said.

I still say most negative posts are coming from ppl who have been rejected by object of desire, deny service due to ignorant behavior. I have been extremely fortunate that since launch of game have only come across one that deserved deny service. Have loved my dancing experience and would not have traded it for anything in the world. I dont dance near as much now so that less experienced dancers can get what they need. With all the cracks in us ..still say as time goes on one day we will all be loved .

Do you not keep up with the boards on a regular basis? If not you'll be happy to hear that we already have a mind buff,even on live servers. Want to hear the really good news tho? The mind buff on live right now sucks but its getting a huge increase in power, currently on Test Server a Master Dancer can give someone a 100% buff to their mind pool that lasts for 2 hours. Musicians can do the same thing but for focus and willpower. So hows that for having your prayers answered in short order? There are some downsides to it tho that are hopefully going to be fixed before this goes live, if you want to know more I suggest you read the thread i have stickied about it.

I try. The only times I spend on the boards are when I'm at work (like right now....uuug) andthose timesare short and sweet.
