Thread: tips tips and more tips
Tips are generally teh suxxor in Coronet, for me at least. But I don't go there to make money. Interesting, though, I was talking to one of my groupmates about this saying something to the effect of never making money in Coronet, shrugging it off--not intending that to be heard by the patrons but I was in the wrong chat screen--then shaboom! The tips start rolling in! **edit**!!
Otherwise I've found tipping is pretty good. I consider ANY tip a good one, since it reflects the right mindset...although when I took my dancer out to Kor Vella last night, was the only entertainer there, and two patrons tipped 40 and 50 credits, I had to really fight the urge to say "you mean this is the best you guys can come up with?"
Hi,
I am a master dancer on Chilastra. And I don't make money from dancing. It's my second job. I dance primarily for fun. I used to be on a delivery business making 10K per hour. Generally, I burn them all on outfit shopping sprees. (I get kicks out of outfits!) Now I make little fraction of money from swashbuckling.***
It is so easy to make money if you use a little brain and be flexible. (Flexible -> purist dancer is a poor life. Be willing to try other professions. It's fun that way.) Credits are almost falling from the sky, you just have to "GO" and "GRAB" them. Tips are bad because you have to wait for it.

*** I have a thing with outfits so I try to look good in combat too. So I never go for full-armor.
I've given out 5k tips before just for watching someone good. But sometimes I get denyservice until I tip someone. Now that it's going to be a deal where you target people, the dancers will just be hawking like everyone else. Sometimes things are good when you don't even realize it.
