I've been dancing for Twelve hours and I've only learned 0033 Entertaining!
Is this normal or am I doing something drastically wrong?

Thank you

You're doing fine..just hang in there. If you're at the keyboard playing the whole time, you'll learn the dances and flourishes and you'll pick up our little "tricks" from others. It takes time. It takes Patience. But you'll be a better performer for it and you'll be happier with the art. Good luck!

(just the voice of experience here, I'm working on my third time mastering Dance, always ATK)

Ya I'm always there when I'm doing it, but I can't imagine what the tricks are!

Some tricks that I wish I'd known then:

1) pay attention to the combat player conversations about base raids and attempts on tough targets like the Corellian Corvette or Death Watch Bunker. If you can be in nearby cantinas when they need healing you'll get loads of the healing experience. (you may need to learn some new terminology to understand what in the blazes they are talking about) Also if you let them know you are interested, they may invite you along to wait in the nearby cantinato healthem.

2) find a fun group of at the keyboard entertainers that you can group with. the location will vary by server so you may have to shuttle or ask around until you find a good spot. This ensures faster dance experience as well as great interaction even when there aren't players needing healing. As an added bonus there is almost always a good mix of all levels so that you can get free training quickly and offer training for those apprentice points in return. This also helps the time fly so that you won't be looking at the clock so much.

3) dance every where. it's a 10 minute wait for the shuttle. you can't earn healing experience but you can make quite a bit of dance XP just making use of those 10 minutes when usually all you do is get to hear who's selling what and who "pwned some noob"

hang in there.
