TH asked me to remind everyone, Dancers and our Poster Guests, that he has a large amount on his plate right now. He is collecting feedback and will address these recent issues that are hot on the Dancer forum ASAP. The Devs are discussing your feedback and will let us know if any changes will be made accordingly. They stress again that this is a Transition Phase and we are moving towards great improvements for the game overall.
TH also said my attitude is stinky, and I need to calm down.

<--- Still loves Panthu
Thanks for keeping us informed
In other words, we have to wait before getting more news?

<--- Still loves Panthu too!
<--- Has an even stinkier attitude so don't feel bad.
For once in a long time I haven't at all been concerned with a lack of dev attention to our forum(s).
This is a big trasition but now that I know it WILL happen I feel a whole lot calmer about the time table.

I would agree, I'm overjoyed just knowing something is coming that will help us. I'm not in a particular rush to see them jam it into the game. I would prefer they do it right, address some of the concerns of the rest of the player base before implementing it.
I think they should get it in before JTL, but aside from that, I can be patient.

Some of the implied threats are a little unnerving..but of course, that is their intent.

Agreed. I'm trying to get as involved in this as I can. I want to see it done right as well. If I see something on TC that is poorly done, I'm going to make a lot of noise.
And believe me, I can make a lot of noise.

I think they have to get it in with a good start towards working before JTL or a LOT of people are gonna come back to try out the expansion, see that we're still "SWG: A Galaxy Away from the Keyboard" and immediately unsubscribe.
I know I have people who send me IMs out of game every once and a while:
Friend09734: Can you still master a profession while AFK in SWG?
Me: Yup.
Friend09734: Oh, guess I won't be coming back yet then.
Me: Yup.

I agree too...first, that I think Panthu rocks (Tiaga too), and second, that I would like to see it happen before JTL if only for the fact that new players will not become accustomed the recursive macro. I'm expecting a lot of people are gonna buy JTL, and it's my hope that these new players will never feel the need to start a backlash against the end of the recursive macro because they wouldn't have been part of it to begin with. One of the biggest problems the devs are facing right now is the simple fact that they're taking something away that people once had. That never goes over well.
Hopefully the new people will come into a game without the recursive macro and be rewarded with a much more enjoyable actual gameplay experience for the sheer fact that there will be more people actually playing instead of being afk allatime.
At the same time, despite the fact that I do support this move, I do feel very sympathetic to the plight of some people. I do not feel sympathetic to the plight of people who keep going on and on about how they love the buffbots...that just makes me feel crappy because it just makes me feel even more undervalued that people would rather have a bot then a real entertainer.
But, overall, I agree that this is going to cause some problems for some people and I would actually very much like for the devs, between now and JTL to hopefully not only get rid of the recursive macro, but put in an extended effort to help some of those other professions out...especially the crafters. I've never really crafted except for a brief stint with spices, which was really an easy grind compared to the others, from what I hear. So, I don't really know the ins and outs of how this is going to affect them. But, from what people are saying it's going to be a major pain in the ass. And, crafters are so very important to any game like this. I'd like to see the devs push to get some things in to help the crafters before they even think about putting enhancements into our profession, I really would.
Getting rid of the buffbots is a major thing for me...and I'll come right out and say it, if new stuff for us doesn't come out until after the combat balance because they're busy helping the other professions cope with the loss of the recursive macro, I am *all* for that.
