I've put up a new article on the gypsy site which offers insights and behind-the-scenes type quotes from some of the people who run the cantina crawls. This is in response to fielding questions about how we go about running one, so hopefully it'll help people run crawls on their own servers.
For those who have run or helped to crew a cantina crawl, your additions to that document are invited.

Excellent guide. I've linked to it on my PA website as we'd like to organise one as well.

Delegate Wendel! That's what it's called when you sucker all your friends into helping you. For instance, I can assist with costuming and accarragm and can finance a lot of things.
