Thread: Cantina Crawl XIX Debrief

It was quite an event, and I hope people had a great time. There was a ton of lag, naturally. Going from one cantina to another was an exercise in patience as the ticket dispensers could take up to 30 seconds to respond, and actually entering a cantina could take a while.
As I was filming, I had the UI off, so if there was any drama, I missed it. There were a LOT of newcomers, which is to be expected on a new server, and quite a few colorful folks. In addition a stormtrooper brigade joined us, so the white and black was well represented. What was particularly amusing was seeing people in Mandalorian armor groovin in groups.
Entertainers came out in droves, of all skill levels. From a logistical point of view, the 8 person groups were tough to deal with, and the quality of the video will no doubt suffer a bit as you won't see the classic cantina crawl visuals of an entire stage full of folks flourishing in sync. Also, I was plagued by the "you are too far away" bug all night, which prevented me from listening to most of the music groups, which meant I couldn't see them flourishing at all. It would be REALLY REALLY nice if the devs would fix these two issues.
Though we wanted originally to hit Mos Eisley cantina to conclude the crawl, we decided against it because of the numbers we had generated (165+ people showed up), and settled on the less popular city of Bestine and played on the capitol steps.
All in all, I'd say it was a great success. Hopefully everyone had a blast, there are some pictures floating around, and of course the video will hopefully be done sometime next week.
I have to hand it to Chilastra....those people know how to %#^$ing party!

I had a Wonderful time! From the Chilastra perspective; there have only been two players on the forum to complain about the Crawl occurring there and they are the two who are always negative on the forum (yup..that's right..only two players who are consistently negative on the Chili forum atm).
The lag was bad! But OMG..what a party! Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun event!

i am upset rl forced me to miss this as i heard it talked about for weeks, i even id'd my fur as close to khaki and blue as i could get(kinda purple khaki, looked pretty nice though), i am sure there was a lack of wookiee ents there as i am one of the few on chilly.

Great event! This being my first CC, I had to say it was amazing. When I first arrived at Kyratia, I was shocked to see how many people were there. Thanks to all that made this happen,I had a great time

I had a fun time while I was there. Unfortunately, I had RL plans that night and was only able to stay for the first two stops.
Bring on CC20!

This was mu first CC as well and had a absolute blast! Thanks for throwing this party on Chilly.
