***This is a repost of my post from the flurry board-thought you guys/gals would find it interesting***

Last night my guildmates and I decided to do a small tour with our dance troupe from Dawn.

We had our friendly master tailor make up some hotpants for both the men and women, one of our non dancing members played the MC boss for the group and we set off to entertain and have some fun out there in the galaxy. Role play involved our MC boss keeping us in line, telling us when to start and stop dancing, accusing some of us of drinking and flirting and just general fun game play. We did not begin this journey to make tips, we began this journey to have some fun and entertain our fellow galaxy mates.

First stop THEED

Crowded cantina, mostly AFK bots, a few people commenting about the nude people and a few comments about our sexuality....but we started dancing, heavyrole play and generally were well received. We even made a few tips and won the crowd over.

Second stop CORONET

Extremely crowded cantina, alot of AFK bots, comments on our sexuality flying about, comments about a nudist cult even made when we gathered outside waiting for incoming members of the troupe. Alot of roleplay involved, including one of the non afk dancers there being awarded a set of Dawn hotpants and the invitation to join the troupe after he had practiced and toned up ***cheers Re'run*** Altho the lag eventually killed the funand we decided to move on, we received a few tips and won some folks over.

Third stop BESTINE

Not very crowded, a couple of AFK bots, private dances being performed in the side rooms. From the minute we walked into the city there was open hostility, gathering outside the cantina awaiting our entrance cue we were verbally harangued , asked what our problem was, told to get out of town and of course our sexuality was questioned many times over. Now we go inside, we encounter the chest puffer crowd that wants to kill us all (except of course the women), the name calling and taunts continue but we do our routine listening to the "boys" call us assorted names. Our MC boss finally has enough and calls them on it, funny how most of the "boys" then either denied they said anything, went AFK or LD. Altho from what I understand the boss did finally get some PVP action and the score reads 2 wins 1 loss. We had a few patrons say they enjoyed the show, no tips and an award for the ***most homophobic guild out there is awarded to GSF*** you "boys" should be really proud of yourselves, oh but most of you wouldn't know because you either back tracked on your comments, went AFK or LD.

My whole point of writing about our journey is to let you know the following

#1 Just because you see a guy wearing hotpants and dancing does not mean they are *g a y* it actually means they have the cajones to be comfortable with their sexuality , they have nothing to prove to you "boys" and they get to hang out with all the pretty girls. You should try it sometime, women want "eye-candy" just as much as the guys do and yes there are real women who play this game.

#2 For you afk bot folks, if you were to actually be at your keyboard you might find that you enjoywhat you are doing and that there's more to dancing or playing music than just standing in the cantina with an endless loop macro going.

#3 There is more to this game than just equip weapon, kill something or someone repeat ad naseum till you get bored and quit.

I'm sure if we had all been female dressed inhot pants, not a single person would have complained or questioned our sexuality. So next time you see the Dawn troupe remember we get to hang with the pretty girls and they like us in our hot pants.

Quite frankly I am at a loss for anything profound to say on this subject.

I guess I could state the obvious and say something like there are always going to be a few bad apples that try to spoil things for everyone.

Third stop BESTINE

I hear ya. Bestine must be the server-spanning meeting point for 1337 PVP kiddies.

Fun post, thanks for posting it and don't let the homophobes get you down. Studies have shown that most homophobic men actually are just afraid of their own homosexual desires and put up a wall so to speak and freak out when confronted with anything that threatens to disturb it. So really those that aren't afraid of acting the way you do are the least "gay" of the two. heheh

I do actually have a pair of hot pants, but in general the amount of crap I'd receive for wearing them just isn't worth it.

I save them for special dances for special people.

I applaud you for doing what you did, sounds like you had a blast, and that's what it's all about.

Also forgot to mention there was also a study that showed that homophobic men had a much larger tendancy to be "turned on" when forced to view homosexual material in comparison to men who are not homophobic. So next time someone calls you gay just tell them their only angry with you because your turning them on and they don't want to admit it to themselves.

why not just tell the people harrassing you that you are in fact gay? i'd love to hear their responses to that.
