I have my buffs down to about four minutes for an individual player. However, I'm unclear about how long/how many flourishes I need to effectively buff a group. Anyone know?

Twice as long for a group buff.

I'm not sure thats entirely so. You might want to experiment with a group. Have them watch you and have them individuallystop watching at different intervals say 1 minute apart. Then as long as your flos remain constant you should have your answer.

That is a good testing method... you sure you're not a programmer? Anyway, what I suggested is worst case scenario and will work. If you want to test it and let us all know, please do.

I have used boththe 8 and 10 minute passive buffs. Almost all of the time they work for everyone in the group, however, a couple of times one member of the group has lost their mind buff within about a minute of receiving it. I don't know what factorcauses that one. Just the other night this happened and the player didn't even get a mind buff when I individually setperformed him. And, no - he hadn't just died and cloned . . .

Just another reason why entertainers should be the ones to control the buffing system and not the client.

I use the same macro timer (10 minutes and 5 minutes depending on if someone is there to keep me healed.) for a passive buff as I do for an active buff. And they get the full buff for full 2 hours (once for 2 hours 1 minute) either way I do it.

I use 8 minutes for single, and 10 for group. Usually works well with my regular flourishing. Some dances are better than others if you don't like erratic arms for instance, Exotic has long flourishes so I usually use Popular2.

Well, I've always been told that you should use your best dance for buffs, but considering I tried twice last night to give Roho a mind buff and neither of them worked, I'm willing to try anything at this point! Its strange because I was able to give someone else a mind buff earlier . . .
