TH has posted a thread for the Entertainer Quest in the In Devlopment forum. Go go!

I know a lot of you are feeling like we've talked about this till we were blue in the face already, but we really need to talk about it all again in this new forum!

You can be brief, but please make sure all of your hopes and concerns are voiced again in a cheery and constructive manner. The Devs want us to have fun and work well, let's all do our part to help this process along!

I added a few bits too. Though we need more infoon what they've already planned before we can really "develop" things much further.

Oh go Val'rel! I just read yours, great post!

Keep asking for more info guys, I agree with you that we will be in a better position to give feedback if we know what our limitations are.

TH is really good about answering in those threads if he sees the same questions being asked over and over again. He hasn't responded to our questions in the Corre forum yet, but we're pumping him there too. TH usually has a good reason for being silent when he is and it's only really clear why afterwards. It could be another Dev wants to bring this info, it could be that they aren't sure yet, it could be that it depends on some other game development they don't want public yet, it could be a ton of things really!

... but if we all keep asking, we are much more likely to get an answer. Just remember to keep it in a upbeat happy tone! We're trying to get something fun and I really think they are trying to let us have it!

Panthu, you said to keep it "up beat" but I can only think of the things I would rather not see, so guess I'm not ready to post on the dev thread yet.

Things I don't want to see are missions that are too complicated and math oriented, such as trying to figure out specificflourish combinations. I belong to a small village and I'm the only entertainer and I'd really hate having to beg other entertainers to help me through the missions (it brings back eerie memories of the EQ epic missions) *shudder*. I'm not afraid of a challenge, I did the Rebel and Jabba Theme Parks with pistol 4 andthree crates of neutron pixie and loved it, but I tried the corvette with a disastrous pickup group and it wasn't much fun. I'm just hoping they can keep it simple, interesting, and fun.

Asfar as Jabba is concerned, I love dancing in his room at the Palace just for fun, but I wouldn't want to be one of his dancers, considering that his dancers are all enslaved. Ohhh maybe it would be fun... to be captured by Jabba and be given clues to figure out how to get away! Should I post that?

.. The clues could be as simple as finding something hidden in a cabinet or crate and returning to to someone. Similar tothe Imperial Hero missions without the fighting. The fighting could be replaced with requests for a "popular" dance or "something lyrical" or play a "theme" or enhance an NPC's eye color (if that's possible).

Sorry for the multi posts but I'm brainstorming and can't edit.... okay maybe it's a brain shower

What if the theme park could be completed solo bysomeone with Master Entertainer and a specialty, but would require a group if you aren't a Master Entetainer? It could almostdo for Master Entertainers what vehicles did for Master Artisans.

As always, just a thought.

I understand what Lesia's saying about not wanting it to be too complicated or have to beg people to join you. But, I also have to wonder how many of us in the social professions are going to have to be begged in the first place, heh. I mean, I can't speak for anyone else, of course. But, I know that I will definitely jump at the chance if someone even mentions they need me for a big group for the dungeon, and I suspect many of us would. After all, being in a social profession, I very much want it to require a group of people to work together. I'm not much of a solo player. I also have a combat profession, and while I was levelling it, it seemed like most people are into doing it solo because people tend to get more experience, I guess. But, even so, I still always wanted to group with people to go on hunts, even if it meant less experience coming my way. That's just how I am. I generally play online games to be social and if I'm out in the middle of nowhere fighting quenkers I'm so likely to get bored and start feeling lonely. lol. So, I definitely don't want to go into the social dungeons and have to do it by myself. It just won't be as fun for me. And, who knows, I may even decide to forego it if it's not adequately social. That's probably my biggest request and desire when it comes to our new quests and/or dungeon(s). Back when I first started playing and I was trying to do some entertainer missions for a measly amount of credits, it really wasn't the lack of monetary reward that bothered me so much as that it was just damn boring and lonely to be dancing by myself in a theater or hotel.

As for the math thing, I also see what you're getting at with that too. Although, I have to say that even if "math" weren't required, I really do hope it is sufficiently difficult. Again, I don't want it to be as boring and unentertaining as the original entertainer missions. I just see this is a great opportunity for the devs yet again to be great at breaking some new ground in the area of social dungeons. I think they're up to the task. And, it'd be nice if the day it was released it wasn't so simple that every single entertainer in every single galaxy was able to complete it and get the reward. I do want some type of a challenge to be involved, just like the combat players are challenged in some of the already established combat dungeons.

Now, will I still do it if none of my wishes are in? Probably. And, just the mere fact that this is happening is a great step at validating our profession. But, I'd still like to be wowed and challenged.
