Who doesn't love Oola?

The Star Wars movies are scarce on Dancer references, but I found these three links to be really fun a few months ago!

Doesn't she sort of tarnish the record for dancers?

Not bad....don't think an NPC deserves a sticky on our profession board though. Its getting crowded enough up there as it is.

Sirii! You are going to make Oola cry!

Ok, I'll take it down... I just thought this and the Drinking Petition were kinda fun and I wanted for people to seem them today. I have to swap out for TH's answers anyway, so they'll not get a full day's plug. No big!

Jabba's rancor aftereating Oola went ill and this is why Luke could beat him.

Jabba's rancor didn't loved Oola.....

She tarnishes the record for dancers? How? ::really got confused:: She follows what Twi'lek were doing.

Smugglers and slavers attack Ryloth mostly for the Ryl spice (the most addictive and fun of the spices) and happen to rampage through cities and take people as slaves. To keep from having their cities thrashed, people slaughtered and women stolen all the time, Ryloth started selling their people off as slaves for the greater benifit of the others.

Another thing was that there were some Twi'lek who sold THEMSELVES as slaves. Oola did that.(actually, my character Tekoa did too, though she works more in indentured servitudefor a set time. It keeps slavers from thinking "hey, what's thatTwi'lek doing? let's take her" and instead they think "hey, someone owns her... leave her be..." )

According to the books,

Bib promisedOola a better life at Jabbas, and she did have one... sort of However she wasn't a trained slave, she had been there to keep form being taken forcefully. So She wanted a better life, and while she wasn't in some terrible situations, it certainly wasn't what she expected. And she did want out. Because she was a dancer, not a hoe, she got eaten by a rancor.

There's speculation for some of it though because Bib WAS a twi'lek and they are coniving. They work behind the political scenes. While he worked for Jabba, Bib was also working to take over Jabba's successful organization. Leia did the hard part for him, but saddly, Bib failed in taking the "throne". He was related to Oola, so I wonder sometimes if he wasn't getting her off of Ryloth with the intent of taking over Jabba's organization and at that point she WOULD have a better life. But I might be giving Bib too much credit
