There's no other game that has a dancer class like this.

There's also no other game where a buffing class is not allowed to buff themselves.

Yeah, and I think you have to kind of bring up those two points together... but therein lies the confusion.

Are we a buffing class?

If the answer is yes, why doesn't our buffing system make more sense?

If the answer is no, why do we have buffs?

To a certain extent, this is really just a design issue and not really one the Devs should be expected to kowtow to the players on... on the other hand, the class can fit into the over all game design better if the players playing it understand what and why the class is what it is. Devs like it when we play a class as intended, so I'd like for us to be able to do that really well.

Nope.. a favourite wish of the dancers though.. after all a Doc can buff himself..

Really i dont know why this was ever the design idea.

In the beginning i thought maybe its because you are an entertainer having the ability to buff your own mind would all to easy to buff your head and be a master ID that way you could migrate your action stats so you would never need buffs period.

But really though after having thought about it why is this any different then a TKM having powerboost?

Honestly i dont know. Especially since you have enough skill points to be a master dancer and a TKM...so you can already kinda buff your mind *shrug*

I dont know really i think its kinda a design flaw, there must be some ulterior reason that the devs made it so we cannot buff our own mind. I just wish they would tell us why and stop the guessing.

For those that are interested, I have developed a rather lengthy assessment of my thoughts regarding Panthu's above question, "are we a buffing class?". I have posted it in the Entertainer forum, as the question really applies to both Dancers and Musicians, and I hoped to stimulate discussion from all of those involved.
