Hello, I have a master dancer and attempted the audition at Theed Theater. They told me to perform exotic 4 - did that - then they told me to do 2 different flourishes - did that -
Then this lady asks me to change the style and perform exotic 4 - I was so confused? What does that mean? I ended up failing because I apparently do not know how to "change the style"
Anyone help?

same thing had happened to me. I was asked to do formal2...which I did. And, then they asked me to change to formal2. LOL
So, I just /changedance formal2, even though it was the same dance. I didn't want to risk failing, and luckily that seemed to work.

I completed the entire mission/quest and it only took 2 tries on each performance. The key is getting all your hotbar keys in order. I had a startdance, changedance and all the flos up on my hotkey bar. I had my in game husband group with me and he talked to the audience while I danced my butt off. Here are some tips...
1. Start dancing when you first get onstage, don't wait for the countdown!
2. Group with a friend and have them talk to the audience
3. Change your dances often and do the dances they like
4. Do all of the flos unless they say they don't like one
5. Do a few more of the flos they DO like but make sure to do other flos
6. Never do any flo they don't like
7. Never do formal or lyrical dance
8. Change dances as often as possible and do as many flos as quickly as possible
9. Make good use of those hotkeys so you can keep up the pace
The performance's ARE fast paced and you need to really do a bunch of different dances not just the ones they request, use alot of flos but avoid the ones they don't like. Everyone should pass if they do this. I did fail once on the first and second performance, but got them both on my second try. I passed the final performance on the first try by doing what I just described.

Hmm... odd. I had this happen on one of my testing rounds on TC, where they started off asking me to do Rhythmic, then asked me to change to Rhythmic. I didn't have to do anything back then... just kept dancing Rhythmic and it was all good. But you say that you failed the audition because you didn't change from Exotic 4 to Exotic 4?
Since the dance selections for the audition and even the rolls for what dances the audience wants to see in later performances are chosen randomly from what you know, there is a chance that the checks for each dance in the audition can land on the same dance. Question here now seems to be... if this does happen, does the system look to see if you're doing the correct dance at check time, or is it looking for the log of the /changeDance (correct dance) now? In testing on TC, I didn't have to do a /changeD from Rhythmic to Rhythmic... but that could have changed between then and now.

Do a /changedance <dance> or just /changed and select from the menu.

This sounds like one of the bugs Panthu is looking for in her thread. I'd suggest adding it there if you already haven'tso she will be sure to see it.
