First off this is not DaRayTheone from Bria My husband frequants these Forums, but i dont know how to get my own Sign-on....anyway...

I play on ShadowFire as Zinthia Zen (Master Dancer/Master ID)

I am trying to do the Ent Quest and i have failed twice already ....once because i dont read instructions very well and i started dancing next to the Theater Manager instead of gettin on stage in 30 seconds LOL.

And then I failed last night because when they asked for me to switch to poplock2 from Rythmic I didnt know how to do that...so i /stopdance and by the time i was able to start up again because you have to wait 10 seconds inbetween dances i failed...i am sure its like a No Brainer and i have been a Master Dancer for like 2 years now, but i am just never on these boards ok LOL here is my question, How do you change dances when your in the middle of one dance ?

Thanks in Advance

Just use the /changedance command.
It also helps to make a macro for it for the quest, so that way you just click it and scroll to the dance you wish to change to.
You can set up separate macros for each dance too, but to me it’s way too many keys to keep up with.
So I would recommend either /changedance macro or just type /changedance name-of-dance.

good luck with the quest

And for those of us who are a tad more keyboard challenged (read: lazy) /changed works, too! It will bring up the dance list and you select your dance from there. Or, as mentioned before you can type /changed basic to automatically switch from the dance you are doing to basic. In the same vein, you can type /flo # to change flourishes, however, pulling the flo icons from the macro list to the hotkeys on one of your taskbars is faster. That way you can delete the flos the audience does not like so you don't accidently click on them (then replace them afterwards).

Sure Daray, just go onto the home page for swg and set up a new fourm user account. I know it can be done because Ive seen idiots that get banned from the forums for a week set themselves up new accounts so the can continue to flame and troll.

Course, to really make things easy, you can just set up hotkeys for your dances as well.

Using, say, Footloose as an example here, you can make a hotkey out of this basic macro:

/startDance Footloose;

/changeDance Footloose;

Drag that up to your toolbar, and you nowhave one button that will start you dancing Footloose if not dancing, or change you to Footloose if you were already dancing.

Excatly, setup a simple macro with /changedance; or /changed; in it and you can switch to any dance you want, whenever.

I use aliases for my songs, instead of a toolbar with more macros (lost my macros too many times- blah)

for example:

/alias basic /changedance basic

then from now on, /basic will execute the alias. An alias can be a string of commands as long as you want, just put a ; between each one.

In Talus Moon we also use aliases to enable quick changes from the chat line to keep our toolbar slots free for clothes etc. Dancer eg.

cdb1: /changedance basic;
cdb2: /changedance basic2;
cdr1: /changedance rhythmic;
cdr2: /changedance rhythmic2;
cdft1: /changedance footloose;
cdft2: /changedance footloose2;
cdfml1: /changedance formal;
cdfml2: /changedance formal2;
cde1: /changedance exotic;
cde2: /changedance exotic2;
cde3: /changedance exotic3;
cde4: /changedance exotic4;
cdpr1: /changedance popular;
cdpr2: /changedance popular2;
cdpk1: /changedance poplock;
cdpk2: /changedance poplock2;
cdl1: /changedance lyrical;
cdl2: /changedance lyrical2;
cdt: /changedance theatrical;

sdb1: /startdance basic;
sdb2: /startdance basic2;
sdr1: /startdance rhythmic;
sdr2: /startdance rhythmic2;
sdft1: /startdance footloose;
sdft2: /startdance footloose2;
sdfml1: /startdance formal;
sdfml2: /startdance formal2;
sde1: /startdance exotic;
sde2: /startdance exotic2;
sde3: /startdance exotic3;
sde4: /startdance exotic4;
sdl1: /startdance lyrical;
sdl2: /startdance lyrical2;
sdpr1: /startdance popular;
sdpr2: /startdance popular2;
sdpk1: /startdance poplock;
sdpk2: /startdance poplock2;
sdt: /startdance theatrical;

If you wanted you could set them up as:

sdt: /startdance theatrical; /changedance theatrical;

and if you are not dancing it would start you dancing. If you were dancing it would do the change. Either way you get error message text which personally I find more annoying than typing /sdt or /cdt depending on my requirement.

Crucial to have short commands like this when you are mixing flos too.

Hope that helps.

This is completely off topic, but I have a question for K'vera.

Next to your login name Kyoriana there's a little home show thingy, and I was wondering what that was about
