OK, zabraks have this innate ability called equilibrium which balances their HAM pools (i believe you can only use it once an hour). my question is, what happens if you try to use this ability while you have your health and action pools buffed? will it increase your mind above it's natural unbuffed level?

No.

It will actually drain your HAM down to a predetermined level; about one third of your total. Equilibrium is intended as a last resort to prevent incap.

If you want to increase your pools use the Zabrak ability /vitalize

I created a female zabrak master dancer/musician and I’ve migrated her stats fully.

When I do a full mind buff I have to heal myself with stims in between the dance/music because her action bar goes way too low.

I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong? Is there a set way of doing certain flourishes or particular dance/music combinations I should be using for zabraks?

Ah, we poor entertainers of the horned variety...
You're not doing anything wrong - the zabrak action secondaries are simply capped low enough that you can't perform that long without help.
I myself hardly perform when I'm not drunk on Accarragm, a drink that enhances all 3 action stats for some time. Either that, or get your quickness or stamina buffed by a doctor.

And this makes him so easy to take advantage of!

All of our Zabrak racial bonuses are geared toward combat..and they're really great in that arena (when I was TKM I could not imagine life without equilib). But as an all entertainer character, I wouldn't trade for a race with better action for the world! Almost daily I get comments that it is nice to see an entertainer who looks differently.

Oh yeah! Zabraks represent!
I agree, I wouldn't trade myself in for anything else (especially those stuck up twi'leks with their lekku complex).
And the combat bonuses are so nice.. tonight, equilibrium (combined with force of will) saved my butt not once but twice in my 4 trips to the corvette. Instead of having to take huge amounts of downtime to get rebuffed, I got to just hop right back on because I was able to survive long enough to hit the escape pods .
Yeah, I'm doing what I can to enjoy my TK skills while I still got 'em .

Ya'll have like 200 hairstyles . While our horn patterns are numbered, they don't exactly stand out.
Plus, ya'll have a much easier time not looking freaky .

It's not us Twi's, it's the others who have a lekku complex

You say you migrated your stats fully, but what does that mean? What are the numbers? Zabraks have higher mind pool regeneration, but if you want to see your action drop less while dancing you need to max your quickness too. I concentrated on mind and action pools stealing from my health. Figured buffs could make up for that when in combat.
