Ok, so somehow I began a debate about the entertainer profs on my galaxy forums. Feel free to jump in and throw in your own comments.
I personally love the guy who advertises his tape in my thread which now has a bid of 13mil. GREAT!

Well, I'm just proud that people are actually taking a look at the inequality of tips to the cost of enhancement CAs. It is weird, I have been getting random tells from people telling me that they don't plan on using bots anymore, or that they will utilize ATK entertainers only now, etc. I'm quite shocked.

I had a lot say to me that they were the REAL entertainers because they were there all the time, therefore they deserved tapes more.
Well, they may be there now but I will be dancing ATK long after their AFK days are over and they move on to the next money making FOTM.

I think that further reinfoces what Panthu's been telling us..
We're vocal. But we're vocal on our forums and to ourselves.
That's why when the macroing change announcement came and there were threads in the "in development" and on local galaxies I made sure to reply to them.
I got a little bit of the "wow you made me realize the problem" thing, too, and for a while after that announcement things were good. The old time live dancers were out and about, wearing their master tags again and having a good time, more people were making an effort to patronize and appreciate those of us who were live. Heck, I was offered a tusken bando with +10 DME for free, though I had to pass because I can't use it and I didn't know any live male dancers who could. (I'm sure there ARE some, just none I personally know anymore)
But after a while things went back to "normal" as the bots started saying "We will just use 3rd party programs and you won't be able to prove it, losers," "I know a dev, we're personal in game friends, and he has promised me that they will never make it so I can't bot," and "they said they will leave /toolBar action slot 00 workable, so that means we can just go back to the old way and nothing will change, losers." All things that were said directly to me in game, on forums and in PMs by bots.
By that time the arguments had died down, and I guess it's my fault for letting those be the final say on the issue because it left people with the impression that live entertainment is beyond saving. It's hard to pick and choose, sometimes, between what will shed light on the problem and what will just degenerate into a "cat fight" (was accused of this in my guild) in most peoples' eyes.
So we do need to remember that not everyone sees the problem. Yes, the vast majority of those who don't see this as a problem will never see it as such and will and do actively protest live entertainment. But there are some people who just haven't thought about it, and when they do see how it upsets us they will make an effort to change.
I'm genuinely surprised no bots have posted nasties in your thread, yet.
Good luck with getting tapes. I need to restart my own ad so I can get some +5s for me (I wish) and some others to share with people, mmm.
