Last night I finished the Theater Auditions and learned the new Theatrical Dance and this morning I find honest and forthright postings from a developer here on our forums! WOOT! I feel like a dancer again!
by the way about the audition... My experience was that /changedance did little to affect my audience satisfaction rating. It was all about the /flourish for them. For the third and final audition they gave me two florishes they wanted to see and 2 dances they wanted to see. I only did the two dances and intermixed my own favorite flourishes with the 2 they wanted to see. I did not do any special effects or any other dance other than the2 they asked to see. In fact once I hit the "Satisfied" rating I did not change dance again. I simply did the one dance and kept throwing out flourishes.Worked like a charm. Now I need to take a good look at the moves they give us with this new dance. From the quick run through I did, it looks like a promising jazz dance number can be created.... If anyone on Shadowfire wants to get together for a little /bandflo for a change of scenery, shoot me a tell in game.

A developer posted here that they weren't going to fix our game play for an indefinate time. Also they told us through our correspondent to cancell our accounts if we didn't like it. Not exactly a banner day IMO.

No the news could have been better. However they did say they shared our belief that AFK macroing was not "playing". I didn't think that was the case so to read it right here with my own eyes was enough to renew my faith in the profession. If I know the train is coming I can stand on the platform for a very long time. But if I begin to think the train has left the tracks or taken a detour.. well then there's not much point and I'll find another means of transport.
Also the explanation about the "quit if you aren't having fun" made perfect sense to me. If you leave the game angry and bitter you will not come back regardless of the fix they make. If you "take a break" (which is what they are really advocating), then you are much more likely to come back and enjoy the new changes when they are finally implemented. I currently do that whenever I take off my dancing shoes and pull out the T-21. If the cantina is crushing my soul, I can go find a few Storm Troopers to loot... I like to think of them as AFK bots when I pull the trigger /evilgrin

Reachwind I think you need to continue in that thread and see what SOETyrant has posted not with one but three postings. He is honest that it is big and it isn't tomorrow but it is happening. He also stated that if it is frustrating to take a break before it is so bad you leave permanently. So I do think it is a pretty good day over all. He also seems to have some clout with the team so we aren't talking a lone developer's opinion here.

He already lost my friends to other games. I am asking that he do something istead of post something that's all.
Hell some of them might even have come back if SoE hadn't erased their characters.

The first step to recovery is realizing there's a problem. Believe me I so desperately want them to take action NOW... not tomorrow.. not next year but NOW. But I was soabsolutely convinced they didn't really have a problem with AFK entertainers that to learn otherwise... you can't even imagine how that made me feel. I want them to make an announcement that AFK entertaining and robot buffing is illegal. I hope they will in the very near future. I doubt they will but at least now I have some glimmer of hope.
I've never danced on Bria but you have an amazing group of entertainers. /deepbow Bria musicians and dancers

I think this is exactly how it was intended.

Where exactly are the three postings that you are referring to? I would like to read them for myself, thanks.

The referred to postings are by SOETyrant, and can be found in this thread.
