Ok here is the problem. You have already stated that no change will be made to the entertainer game until the entertainer revamp. You have also stated through the dancer correspondent that we are to cancell our accounts until such time as you make our game enjoyable and playable again, fine. I can accept this, however my character will be deleted before you make this change. I really don't think it is fair for you to delete my character in this instance because you are not offering me a playable game to pay for until you change the current situation.

Will you please keep my characters in the database until you revamp my game play and make the game enjoyable for me again? If not I will just take my money elsewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Whoa! That's not exactly what Tyrant said... he said "take a break." You've read it from him now, so don't go saying that I just came out and said "the Devs say we suck and we should all quit!" It's not exactly like that. I sort of said "this is driving us crazy, we can't stand for our gameplay to be so messed up anymore" and he said that we shouldn't do anything that was making us unhappy.

The revamp is coming, it will take a little while to get here. The macro change is coming, it will take a little while to get here too. There will not be a ban or any CS policy changes dealing with AFK until that happens (what Tyrant was responding to when the comment was first made).

It's just how it is, it will not change, and we shouldn't make ourselves nuts over it. That's what the "take a break" is about.

Reachwind, if we can put our differences to the side, I,too, know what it's like tohave friendsI've made inthis gameleaveout offrustration.

As I understand it (from the all enlightening Hologram . . . ) there is no set time limit on how long a character lasts in the system. It seems to be as mysterious as the Force. If I remember correctly, you've already cancelled your account(s)? Perhaps a compromise can be arranged. Take a "break" for a couple of months then resign up for a month to see what is going on. Several people have done that and come back to find their character(s) still in the system.

Just an idea . . .

6 months. That's the officially posted time frame. Actually I had a couple of friends recently come back to find their characters wiped after just four months. They instantly cancelled again.

Ah, well, that figures . . . I would be quite unhappy to come back and find Kirah deleted. But, then - I'm a masochist andenjoythe "grind" back up to master . . .

Are you are suggesting that I pay to not play this game? Is that the response a developer told you to post or your own idea?

I'm using the $15 a month I would gladly pay to play a working SWG with friends that also enjoy these kinds of games to play a different game that they have all moved to until such time as the game is repaired per the developer.

My friends that left this game all think this game can not be fixed, will not be fixed and that SoE is a trerrible video game maker and are warning others off their prodcts specifically SWG. I have a tiny bit of faith that the game can be fixed and that it will be fixed but there is no way I am gonna sit at my computer trying to play a game that does not work... No way in hell I am gonna pay for it. Any other service industry or product maker would gladly compensate a customer when they new a problem existed and a fix was not possible in a reasonable amount of time. All I ask is for that type of consideration.

They actually said for us to "take a break"?

*sigh*

Maybe its just me, but I can only keel things or tailor things for so long before it gets boring.

I know we have a million and one people marching through here saying "dancer is sooo boring, you need to afk it". Well, I am here to tell you...you kill one nightsister, you have killed them all. You can only see dungeons for the first time "once".

The one thing this game had that was unique was the idea of a almost purely social class, the entertainers, and now we don't have that. And their solution is for us to "take a break".

Hmmm...thats nice to know along the lines they are thinking.

Sorry, each day I come to these boards its something new and discouraging. Like I said to Tae yesterday, its getting harder and harder for me to rationalize even logging on. *sad sigh*

I must say there is a very warm calming feeling that comes over you once you hit the 'cancel' button.

Then a panic sets in... what if my character is gone forever?? What about my ingame friends?? Who will take care of the whole SWG world while I'm away??

hehehe
