Last night at 11:35 EST Rria Niamer (Cristine Caspersen) of Denmark died of a heart attack. Her health had been poor for some time due to complications and allergies to chemotherapy she was undergoing to treat cancer.

Those of you who knew her will miss her. She was always a bright spot in our lives and she lives in our memories and in many of the dance videos. Look a for a short dark skinned Zabrak playing a horn in the band.

She was one of those people who could walk into a room where everyone was just hanging around and light up everyone's day with a few words and a smile. She glowed with the joy of life and spread that joy to everyone around her.

She was a beautiful young woman in her early 20's and had endured her share of life's tragedies yet never failed to light up the lives of those around her.

For me it is a personal tragedy as she and I were very close. She and I were arguing about history (as always) when she had her heart attack.

She will be greatly missed. If you care to, please remember her in your prayers.

Thanks for letting us know, Flawed.

Rria was a gypsy on Bria. She was very active in the entertainment scene until her early retirement to fight her illness and spend more time with her family. She was married in-game to Doasa. You can see her in almost ever cantina crawl video through 8 with her distinctive brown skin and bright white facial tattoos. If you watch CC8 again, you'll see her during the words "Don't be unhappy". CCX was dedicated to her and her fight against cancer.

I always held out hope that she'd beat the cancer and return to us. This news has crushed me, and my heart goes out to Doasa and the rest of the Bria entertainers whose life she touched, as well as her family and friends in real life.

If anyone has any good ideas on how to honor her memory, I'd love to know. I'm just at a loss.

She was one of the first entertainers I came in contact with on my first day on Bria. She was terribly sweet and welcoming. I'm certain that she'll be sorely missed

For what's it worth, she died as she wanted to. The one thing she dreaded was a long lingering decline and with the type of cancer she had the prognosis was pretty poor at best. Several times in the past she expressed to me the hope that if she did have to die that it would be quick and unexpected and after a good day

At the time last night she and I were arguing an obscure point of WWI history aboutpolitical issues regarding the Austro-Hungarian Empire just prior to the war.

She had had a good day and was cheerful and at her best. She had just finished telling me what an idiot I was for my opinion and laughing at me when her long time companion, Laila jumped on line and said that Cristine had just collapsed and was unconcious. She never regained conciousness.

So her death was a good one, if such a thing can be said. She died as she lived, laughing and happy to the end.

On afundraising event that I participate in we have a "remembrance tent" that is decorated and set up as a memorial for all those we have lost to cancer. While tents do not last long in SWG, perhaps the same thing could be done with a garden or house? Those blue village quest banners always make touching memorials in my opinion and perhaps a creative designer could design a "stage" that could be decorated?

The best way to honor her is to just remember her smile and laughter and her joy in life.

I could set up a memorial tent certainly. Place some candles in there, that sort of thing. It'd have to move around with the rest of the village, of course, but it's a good idea.
