Thread: A Bit of Dancer Fun

Well, last night I did something that I hadn't done in a long time as a Dancer. I logged onto Kettemoor, and I didn't want to work on TK. I didn't want to play Space Pirate. I wanted to Dance. It had been a long time since I just went to a cantina to dance and enjoy myself. So I headed first to Theed. I walked past the silent duo standing at the door. They may have been there, but they never spoke to me, so I headed past them. I walked into Theed and saw all the silent people. Not a single one said anything to me. I've been running around with TK Monk over my head, so I waited to see if anyone thought I was there for healing. So, after no one said anything, Idecided, if I'm going to dance in silence, I could at least go some place else.

I ran back to the Starport, took my ship to Moenia, and ran into the desolate cantina. I started up Theatrical and started dancing away. I must have spent two to three hours there, with eventually just one other entertainer and one guildie to keep me company. About five people ran into the cantina to get healing, and maybe two or three people ran by me to get to the recruiter in the back room. I only had one random invite, and not all the people talked to me. However, surprisingly almost every single one tipped me, and they tipped me fairly. My lowest tip was 1K, but I wasn't doing this for money. I thanked each one of them for the tips, and some of them even thanked me for being there.

I would have loved to have more people there, but all I wanted to do was dance. Freya kept me company with her music for awhile, and it was nice. There was no AFK spam. There was just the fun time of being an entertainer and getting to help someone. From now on, when I want to dance, I'm going to head away from Theed or Coronet. I'm going to head to some desolate cantina where weary pilots may land to seek some healing or some new player may be hunting out of. It might not be the old golden days, but I still got to do what I wanted.

I just wanted to share that with everyone.

Moenia, along with Nym's cantina on Lok, the Lucky Despot in Mos Eisley and several other formerly abandoned locals, have gotten an increase in foot traffic due to pilot missions based out of these locations. Everyone of them is a blast... no buffbots, cause buffs are useless in space. There is no huge groups, so there is no AFK's. The pilots don't really need to watch or listen for healing cause wounds and BF don't hurt in space, but most do out of habit. This makes for a great live entertainer atmosphere.

You're right, and even though only one other entertainer showed up in Moenia, I still had fun as I travelled across the cantina. I'll likely be hitting a bunch of other cantinas, and not just the ones that may get Piloting traffic. If no one shows up, oh well, I know I was there. (Heck, I even register even though it half the time doesn't work!)

We must remember to actually group up next time Freya. I know we wouldn't get any kind of XP boost really, but then we could have made fun of Malyce without him knowing it! Mind you, I pick on him all the time in guild chat and on my PA board, but it's fun to get him all confused!

I find the best way to do that is through whispers. Kehe and I do that all the time, makes everyone think we're talking about them.

But yes, next time we should definately group.

I had a lot of fun there with you Ray. Wish I could have stayed longer, but I'm part of the house band in the Green Room and I couldn't be late for work.

The last two days I've been going to out of the way cantinas. Kaadara, the Lucky Despot and Moenia. It's nice to get out of Theed and when you do meet people in those cantinas they are usually friendly and appreciative of our services.
