Saw this on another forum:
Profession: Dancer, Entertainer, Musician
* If you have been denied service from an entertainer, you will no longer be able to pay a cover charge for inspiration buffs.

LOL...
I used it exactly once. My friend Aradia and I were dancing in the republic outpost on Rori. It was not our home cantina... every week we would travel someplace "exotic" (i.e. not Keren, LOL) to try a different venue. We had heard people needed healing there, so we went. A friend (wookiee pistoleer/CH) joined us to get healed because he had a lot of BF.
There weren't many people that night, but one guy comes in and starts mocking Aradia because she is a Bothan, saying she looked like a dog, asking if she would bark for him, that kind of thing. So we /denied him. It's the only time I ever did it. Usually I would just stop and sit down, but our friend needed healing and I wasn't going to stop healing him.
That was like 3 weeks after /deny was implemented. I haven't used it since. I don't even know how to use it anymore, LOL... Nor do I know how to set cover charges, because I don't use that either.
It's kind of like looping macros. I use macros (actually aliases) all the time to build songs and dance routines. The songs are obviously macros, because no one could type as fast as I would have to, and flourish, all by hand, without missing a beat, so people realize the song is macroed when they are grouped with me (especially since I am often chattering away in /group as well at the same time). So they figure "Dejah knows macros!" Many times I have been asked how to set up an AFK looping macro, and when I say, "I don't know" they think I am lying. I try to explain "I can show you how to make a macro, and make it go for 5 or 6 minutes (the length of my longer songs/routines) but I do not know how ot make them loop." In fact, I do know that if you try to loop aliases you will get a command recursion limit warning -- I had a loop accidentally stuck in one of my aliases and it gave me that warning and killed the queue. So you probably can only loop macros, and I use aliases, not macros, anyway.
So it's funny... the things you use, and don't use, and how different that can be from other entertainers (I know some who use /covercharge, /deny, and looped macros all the time -- and no, not just AFK bots).

/deny would be useful if it persisted. I can never keep track of which jerks I want to /deny.

* If you have been denied service from an entertainer, you will no longer be able to pay a cover charge for inspiration buffs.
Umm. Okay. Maybe I'm just having a dense moment, but what exactlydoes this mean?
Does it mean /denyservice will be persistent now? Will it also mean, if you do not use /covercharge, they will be unable to get a buff from you? Or will you have to use /covercharge for /deny to persist/work?
Or is this to "fix" the issue of players paying an entertainer's covercharge, only to discover they cannot get the buff because they had been denied service? Hmm.
