Thread: Bunduki timing?

I am wondering if anyone's gotten the length of the bunduki flourishes down yet? I know there was a wonderful list here a while back that had the length of all the flourishes written down, but I am wondering if there is one for this dance yet.

I have a rough timing list worked out but it's very rough... I was trying to have a conversation and count so...

base dance: 7

flo 1: 13

flo 2: 3

flo 3: 10

flo 4: 7

flo 5: 8

flo 6: 9

flo 7: 10

flo 8:11

I spent quite a lot of time trying to get the durations of the flourishes absolutely perfect, but after looking at Ikewe's results, I'm wondering if lag played a factor in my results.

I have a weird way of figuring out timing for flourishes.I don't use a stopwatch, I use a macro-type thing. For example, for the first flourish, I used:/echo flo 1; /pause 11; /echo flo 2. I enter an estimate for the time of the flourish and the echo commandsends a message only to me, so I know when the flourish starts. Then I enter an estimate for the time of the flourish. I start dancing and if Flourish 2 begins before Flourish 1 has ended, I add more time to my estimate until I get the timing perfect. I know, it's a dorky method, but I'm kind of obsessive about my timing.

Anyway, I'm sure you found that fascinating. Here are my results:

Base Dance: 12

Flo 1: 11

Flo 2: 4.75

Flo 3: 14.75

Flo 4: 11

Flo 5: 13.5

Flo 6: 14.5

Flo 7: 17.5

Flo 8: 18.5

That's basically how I do it too, but I just add them in one at a time and eyeball it now. I used to send myself a message though, way back. I don't usually now unless I'm trying to track down a really pesky one that keeps messing up.

... of course, I do a lot just by sight now and have for a long time. I have hang ups about macros not coming off right, so I wobble back and forth.
