Having been a dancer for quite a while on my other toon, and having combat in my template from almost as soon as I started, I think causing combatants inconvenience to be rather irritating.
Oh, and ranger camps already repel aggro creatures, so there's no need for that part of the "Joy" section. I DO agree, however, that there should be something (ability, NPC building programming) that prevents people from entering combat/fighting in Cantinas, as I can see how most Entertainers would find that irritating.
I LOVE every one of your other ideas, I think they're great! I'd certainly use 'em.

Thanks!
Isn't it true that it is still possible that high level creatures and NPCs attack players inside a camp? The way I wrote it you could set up a camp at the Nightsister vs. Singing Mountain POI without the chance of ever being attacked while an FS dancer is dancing.
Just wouldn't know where to add these... probably senses, but reflexes is an option, too.
Anyways! Who else has some idea! Let them come!

Well, I'm not sure about high level creatures and NPC's.
BUT, I see what you meant about repelling Nightsisters and the likes, it would help alot! Only thing would be that it might be used wrongly.

Hi...
Panthu's thread about "dancer templates" (The Force shall help me, thinking about "myself" as someone drawn into a template makes me tremble) made me consider new ways.
What could a way for dancer actually be like in FS?
I know this ain't exactly a new topic and if I browsed the forums back to the point where the current FS/Jedi system was introduce I'd probably find threads with dozens of posts about it.
Mystical things and dancing must not actually contradict each other, in fact dancing can be an expression of mysticism. But if it is it becomes something as much personal as profiling.
So, even though I doubt it will ever lead to anything, here are some ideas and a request for yours.
That's it, just some silly dreams. Not actually proposals just brainstorming ideas...
PS: Erm... just wanna make clear that it should not be possible to combine these skills, only one at a time. Especially Irresistability and Charisma would be very problematic combined.

- Irrestability: A skill to force every hostile target within 30 meters, including players or not, to watch the a dancer. If this ability should be applicable to players they should only be affected once every ten minutes or so and can /stopwatch immediately.
- Charisma: The dancer becomes unattackable as long as she doesn't do use any effect on other players for a number of seconds equal to her inspiration skill by the number of minutes she continiously danced, but no longer than 10 minutes. This may or may not work for special forces players and does not effect bomb droids; or maybe even any droid. The dancer does not need entertainer venue to create this effect.
- Brilliance: The dancer creates a globe of ambient light around himself. Hands and eyes of the dancer are glowing. Colors in 16 hues, each hue with 3 different saturations may be chosen. The brightness is always relatively high.
- Joy:If dancing in an entertainer venue (including ranger, but not scout camps) and using this ability it is impossible for NPCs to start any hostile actions. They may defend themselves but not even support each other. Players trying to commit hostile actions within the venue are delayed by ten seconds and a mark signals the attempt. A player character may always defend herself if she's actually attacked first.
That's it, just some silly dreams. Not actually proposals just brainstorming ideas...
