Quick question for you Dancers out there.
I was just wondering, is it possible to hold a weapon while you are duel-wielding any of the new props? Those green glow-stick things make a very cool effect, and I thought it would be tight to be able to hold my pike while duel-wielding those. Add some excitment to the PvP.
I am not sure if this works.. mostly because I think that the "slot" is occupied by an item, and so a weapon cannot be held.
Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

if you have the appropriate skills (novice dancer for dual wield and whichever skills you need for the specific weapon and prop), then yes.

If you should ever get the idea using that weapon, or even fight unarmed, any prop you are holding is automatically unequipped though.

@ Papi... well what if I grab the Novice Dancer and the required that I need, then I drop them for more points in combat... will I still be able to hold them with a weapon?

No. If you don't keep Novice Dancer, you won't be able to hold things in both hands. If you don't have Novice Dancer, you can only equip the right hand as normal. Novice dancer gives you the ability to hold a prop in your left hand and put a prop/weapon in the right hand.

Slight correction: without Novice Dancer (but with at least Novice Entertainer of course), you can still equip a prop in either your right or left hand - your choice. You cannot equip a prop in both. However, if you have "'leet dance skillz" then you can equip a prop in your left hand and then equip a (one-handed) weapon or instrument in your right hand (if you're certed for it), and dual wield two items even without Novice Dancer. However, I recommend this for more experienced players only.

I guess what I forgot to include in my post was, what if I never took these items out of my hands when I dropped the skills?

I don't know for sure, but the check seems to be made at the time that you attempt to equip the props so I suspect if you were to dual equip your props and then drop Novice Dancer, it probably wouldn't kick any items out of your hands.
It's an odd question, though, because if your intent is to dual wield props while maintaining only Novice Ent skill, assuming it worked, it would be kinda like super-gluing the props into your hands as far as never unequipping them again. You probably wouldn't be able to change props, and if you wanted to equip a weapon or instrument you wouldn't be able to equip the second prop again, and if you ever get into combat mode, it will automatically drop your props back into inventory anyway. Except maybe as a temporary effect I'm not really sure why you'd want to try this. It'd be too easy to either accidentally equip something else or end up in combat mode at some point and lose the dual wield effect.
