I started playing as a dancer about a month before the CU and because of internet problems I stopped playingaround that time and haven't been ableto come back until about twoweeks ago.

Anyway, what I really miss about my month of pre-CU dancing was thelarge ent groups of 10, 15 or even 20 people. Ialways felt that the morethe merrier when it came downtogrouping. Iunderstand that the reduction to 8 people per groupmay have been a good idea for combat professions butI don't think it was that great for entertainers.

Now I realize that this has probably been discussed before (but like an idiot I have to get my two cents in), but how many people would support grouping in cantinas, hotels, and theaters to return to the 20 limit (while leaving grouping outside limited to 8)? I also understand that this may be impossible under the programming but I'm really interested to see if anyone agrees with me on this.

Well, what I have to do for gigs is have a dancer group and a musician group. And we communicate via a chat channel for song/dance changes. Plus, if the patrons watch one dancer and one musician both groups get xp boosts.

The devs are aware of the problem and how it affects us, and they have said that they are looking into it to see if they can come up with some way that we can form larger groups again. I have no idea when we might see this though.

*nod* our bandleader built a private chat channel just for the band. We stay in one group until we have all the dancers/musicians show. Then we split the groups and use the channel.

Exactly what Nebula is doing on Chimaera. Well, except the chat channel isn't so private anymore, it's developed into our galaxy's Ent Chat I'll need to open a new one just for the band...

And the irony in all this is that just before the CU we hit a low as far as attendance went, we were lucky to field 5 or 6 entertainers (dancer and musicians combined) for a gig. While nowadays we are going through possibly our strongest poeriod in the band's history (which started in March 2004) - we have moreactive members than ever before, and we always have at least 10 peeps show up

Same here. Dancer group and a musician group. Everyone listens in and chats on the band channel including countdowns for song changes so the dancers have a clean transition between dances.
