Thread: Entertainers and the GCW!
You know... that's not a bad concept. They keep telling us that the arcs will be playable by the non combat players. I mean, I couldn't go hunting for those silly disks and all that, I'd get creamed so fast....
Of course there is the neutral aspect... Rebels wouldn't just let a neutral work for them and all you know. Trust issues...
But an idea that needs to be mulled over, definitely.
Entertainers. The social flowers of the galaxy. We can be found anywhere from the lowliest cantinas to the wealthiest theaters of Naboo. We are often considered neutral on issues of the world that don't directly involve booking our next gig or obtaining our next new outfit! But I pity the passerby who makes this mistaken assumption.
Entertainers are unique in that we easily mingle with all races, professions, and factions. From this we are naturally positioned to gain knowledge from all aspects of the GCW. Our primary contribution in the GCW should be one involving the passing of valuable information. I think it would be thrilling to have entertainer missions in the COA Acts that took us around the galaxy performing for personnel important to the story arc. From these performances we could pick up certain bits of related information that could be turned in for story badges.
In addition, I think entertainers also have a support role to play in the GCW. Since launch I have envisioned a time for huge, grueling battles fought on the battlefields by the combat classes. I think it would be vital to have medical camps strategically placed to revive and care for the wounded. Combat Medics, Doctors, and Entertainers would be stationed at each camp to get our troops back into battle.
