My somewhat limited understanding goes as follows:

a) You get xp for healing mind wounds and for BF (BF gives more xp?)

and

b) all entertainers in the group get XP. It is not split between the group.

With that in mind, if I talk my alt and eat a ton of non-clone deaths, then go back and watch my dancer... it won't matter how large or small the group is, the xp will be the same. Correct? I want to try and help out the cantina crowd since I'm one of them lately.

actually the bigger the group the more xp you will get, at least that is how it was when I still got xp lol

The only reason you get more healing xp in bigger groups is because you heal faster. However, the greater xp goes away quicker. So instead of getting 4 xp 20 times, you get 20 xp 4 times, for example.

Was in an amazing group on Wanderhome last night. 20 people, many with alts, and a cantina full of willing mind disease victims. We were getting 400+ healing xp a tick. Ahhhhh Mastered dancer. It was actually a lot of fun.

Also, dmg to the secondary and tertiary mind stats give about 1/2 the exp for healing them.

I tried to run some tests on healing exp while group and not grouped myself as I was getting the last box of healing exp I needed,of course the rest of the dancers were afk so I couldnt ask how much exp they were getting to compare to mine, but I did notice something:

When ungrouped, the inital exp I got after a flourish was considerablly higher than when grouped. However, the subsequent exp I got for the "non-flourish" tick of exp was considerablly less than when grouped. I'm horrible at math so I didn't bother calculating the exact numbers, but I figured they averaged to be about the same.

Additionally, I noticed that I was not healing my alt any faster grouped than ungrouped, in both mind/willpower/focus dmg and battle fatigue. So really, when it comes to trying to get yourself the healing exp by killing your alt a few times, it comes down to if you wanna share the exp with the other dancers or not lol.
