As of right now masters can transfer ownership to another master. There is rumors that masters are dropping not only master but the enitre profession and cantina is still up and running. Personally I think this sucks, we finally get some acknowledgment for being valuable and then find out that after we place it doesn't matter if we drop proffesion or not. If I ever drop master (cold day in he double l) I will gladly turn it over to my friend who is master chef to run it rather than take advantage of what I think was a glitch in the system. Why would they require us to be a master to drop it but not to run it, doesn't make sense to me. So feel free to flame away........................................

Well, for one thing I've been a Master Dancer for a few months now and I'm getting bored. This happens...and I shouldn't lose my Cantina (having been paid for) just because I want to move on to a new profession (Possibly Tailor or Chef).

I think just getting to Master Dancer/Musician is enough to warrant owning your own Cantina. Once you take on the management duty, you step out of the spotlight, and open it for others. You become the guy who's name is selling the place, but never performs there...

Back yet again, for another round of SWG... um... fun. Yeah, that's it. (It's not just a diversion while I wait in the queues for WoW BG's)

oops...

Well if they never fix the whole buggy mind buff system I'm going to drop dancer. It is obvious dancing has not been looked at since beta. Even the %TT thing should take them about a minute to fix if they bothered. Then there is the fact I need a stopwatch to buff someone and I can't buff myself. I will keep dancing as long as I can but I am ready to move onto other things and will need to drop the skills eventually. I would like to hear from a dev so I know if I have to tranfer it or if I can just keep it.

Ok, let me explain............if you were a master droid engineer and dropped it you would not continue to be able to make droids. So why would you be able to still own cantina if you drop the requirement to own it, ie. Master Dancer, Musician, or Chef. And yes the day may come that I move on and leave dancing behind, but I will then turn over my cantina to someone who can run it like a Master Chef. What makes me upset is not the people who have been in the profession for months dropping it so much, as the people who afk grinded to get master, drop a cantina, then drop their profession. How does that make it fair to those who worked their butts off to get master and a cantina? Just my opinion, hope you understand it now. Feel free to flame away again.............

Your logic here is flawed. It is true, if a master DE drops his skills he will not be able to MAKE droids... but he will still be able to USE them. By this token, a master dancer who drops his/her dancing skill can no longer dance, but I see no reason why he/she should not be able to own the cantina.

Everyone who placed a cantina will have worked their butts off to get to master dancer/musician/chef. The fact that they may potentially want to drop that skill and move on to something else does not negate the grind.

Ya I don't see Lunah's point. If I drop dancer I can't dance. If you drop droid engineer you can't build droids. Has nothing to do with the cantina.

I give up, never mind.........................................it would be tantamount to a mayor dropping politician but still having a active city hall. Obviously they intended it only to matter when placing it. Guess I just hoped for too much or misunderstood. So just ignore this post.
