Not sure on time, but I know once you get to Dancing Knowledge III it seems like it takes forever as you struggle your way through Lyrical. Only 175k to go for Exotic2. Tonight, I'm hoping for really big groups and no server outages.

Hmm.
I spent 6 weeks mastering and enjoyed it all.
Perhaps if "faster faster faster, get this over with!" is all you can think of, you should consider finding a profession you enjoy and play that instead so you don't feel like you're "grinding" all the time. What fun is grinding?

I agree with that!
Nothing better than spending some time learning the new dances and how the flo. If I ran by them all, I think I wouldn't appreciate them as much. Yes, even poplock.

Mmmmm, it sounds to me like you plan on grinding the profession in the (gasp) AFK format. Reconsider that, please. You will have little or no appreciation for the skills and you will certainly miss out on all the fun and comradery with fellow ents and patrons!

I don't suspect that this person is doing this to enjoy the profession. Next on the list is 'musication'...
There's a list. This is either a last minute hologrinder, or a soon to be buffbot. If it's the former, they'll drop and move on. The latter, they'll stick around asa thorn in our sides.

I was trying to be positive!
But yeah, the "list" is a bit discouraging.

About 4-5 days with quickness buff + looping 8-second flourish macro. I was AFK for 90% of the proccess

It took me two months, and I enjoyed every second of it. Although there at the end it seemed like the game was taunting me. When I needed only 3k more healing xp, it seemed like suddenly people stopped coming to the cantina. It actually took me 3 days of dancing for for 4 or 5 hours to get that last 3k. Good times.

I remember every time I learned a new dance, the first thing I did was run into the back of Moenia cantina and dance it with Borvo.
Have you ever seen Borvo dance? If you haven't you're missing out. I love Borvo!
I would always make myself resist the urge to dance at the shuttleport (before I realized that Moenia had a Dancer trainer, silly newbie me) and go into the cantina and run through all the flourishes with Borvo... how sad I was when I hit footloose and there were only 4 flourishes.. and EXTRA sad when I hit exotics and there were only 2..
I guess the point is that first time I levelled.. it was so much fun, the wonder of a new dance and learning the flourishes and how they fit into the base dance, of putting together flourishes that matched and sacrificing a step up towards another new dance to get LIGHTS, of laughing with people over poplock, getting requests for the "robot dance" (footloose)...
I just don't understand why to speed it up, because once that's gone it's gone, and it was the best experience I've had in this game.

You know, they do really need to make sure that all dances have 8 different flourishes...and is it just me, or does it seem really stupid that a couple of flourishes for lyrical are lifted from basic or something, which makes it really look stupid?
