How much time do you spend nowbuffing people you have never met before? (not guildies, not regular patrons)

Is this week ave. ? Daily ?

I would have to guess weekly at max it would be 30 minutes and that's being extremely generous. That's out of about ave 20 hours a week. (10-35 seems to be my current range).

Why because I simply don't get asked to do more.

I quit dancer the day even my guildies stoped asking for buffs and instead demanded the location of a buff bot while I stood beside them master dancer tag and all.

Hmm, I'm not sure really... I'm really just trying to see how much you guys are using buffs to interact with people you don't know and making money off of it as a service...

Like, I'd answer that I buffed strangers everytime I'm on my home galaxy Starsider. No where close to as many and as close together as I used to, but still at least a few every single play session. Like, even if I'm just running into a NPC Cantina just to buff friends or guildmates, I always end up doing a few buffs for strangers as well.

i dont see why you guys complain about buffbots and stuff. For the past 2 weeks,i have been pvping and every time i look for entertainer buffs, i ask a master dancer and they say, sorry not buffing right now. Buffbots are a good thing, most people that are at their computer dancing or playing music dont want to buff.

I think for me it would even out to about 10 people a week that I don't know. Sometimes a few more Lots of times a bit less.

What's buffing?

Seriously, even though I'm in the only live cantina in the largest player city on Bria where one ofthe largest combined guilds is located (TF and TFK) I rarelyget asked for buffs anymore. Last night I did have two people come in for buffs but one was a friend and the other a former guildmate. Last week while in Theed I buffed two people. Tuesday, a group of us were in Doasa's cantina and 3 or 4 of his guildmates came in to watch the show and none of them accepted my offer for buffs (even though a couple of them left to do missions). Don't get me wrong - they were all very nice and quite generous. They just didn't want buffs . . .

I always have my master dancer title on, as well. I've made a point of that since other players try to use the inability to "find" entertainers as a reason to use buffbots. I can't even remember the last time anyone used the search option to find me. Besides, they can find the buffbots that way too- all the bot has to do is amend their AFK response to include location and instructions . . . .

Music/dance buffs laster for 2 hours, you MUST BE AT THE STARPORT WHERE PEOPLE ARE LVLING or PVPing, 10 mins per shuttle plus cost, sometimes 2 shuttles so 25% of your time is gone, plus traveling to a city's shuttle port just doesn't make sence. You CAN NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT A MIND BUFF and you have to make the most out of it when you do get it.

Thank god for buff bots who are on 24/7 at the places need, i NEVER see live buffers on ALL the time i'm playing at the startport i'm lvling out of and ready to buff me ASAFP while my med buffs tick away.

Umm, got news for you- buffs can only be done in a cantina or theater, NOT at a starport.

Thats a tough question, for the last week I've been on Starsider, Furry, and even Lowca all of which I am far from Master on, kind of getting back to the roots and getting ready for parties and such. On Bria I buff I maybe a couple times a day when I'm on to stay. The only time I have ever refused to buff is when I am on for a limited time due to RL time constraints (read: Darth Wurk).

We've really been making an effort to promote popularity of Live Entertainers by traveling to different cantinas, different planets. I am only rarely asked for a buff. In the past week, I have buffed no one.

Considering how much Til & I travel, how outspoken we are, that we are always in the entertainer channel and always chat in spatial in cantinas; I believe the "I can't find a master to buff me" whine is just an excuse for using buffbots. Not a valid reason. Frankly, theyhave started to sound like when my little brother was a kid and "I can't find my shoes" equated with "I have not looked for my shoes and I want you to find them and hand them to me."

At this point, I think I can safely say that if buffs were removed from our profession it would not effect my game play in the least..of couse with the obvious effect that there would no longer be any buffbots spamming in the cantinas.

Well, like anything in either r/l or in-game, not every one is there for the sole purpose of buffing. I have said "no" lately as I have only been stopping into to heal and then move on to other business or waiting for a mind buff myself.

No different than you walking up to my doctor alt and asking for a buff while I'm not running a buff line - you won't get buffed unless I am there for the purpose of buffing. Another thing to consider, a lot of dancers will need a quickness buff themselves before they will buff others and I usually do not have one.
