Hello Dancers, and please excuse the noob question.
I see Master Dancers on Dantooine advertising 2 hour mind buffs. What is required to get this buff? Do you have to be grouped with the entertainer? Or just watch them for a set period of time? If so what is the time required?
Also, what is a generally accepted tip level for a mind buff?
Thanks!

There are 2 ways...
1. If they have an AFK sign above their head, and they don't respond to you, you must find some way to kill them to make the buff go through, this is the only way.
2. If they are ATK, and respond to you, invite them to your group and /watch. then /stopwatch. Tah dah.

... and make sure to /stoplisten and /stopwatch before you start to watch the Dancer for a Buff. Do the same for a Musician Buff. *grumbles about this most awful bug that needs stomping badly*
5-10k is still pretty normal for Starsider tips... 30k and up for buffing your full team. More is always ok, but most Dancers are proud to take any tip you offer.
This varies from Galaxy to Galaxy due to the different economies. Just ask your Buffer what the normal tips are like and go from there.

Not quite, Esist
BUT! Feel free to grief the ones that are afk and advertising free buffs. They're called buffbots, and are proving to be quite troublesome to the live entertainer community.
To the original poster: At the top of this forum you'll find an FAQ written for dancers. All of your information can be found in there. There are two ways to receive a mind buff. The player can invite you to a group to give you a passive buff, or use the /setperformance command to give you an active buff. Both require you to be watching them, and both result in the same duration/power of the buff.
Ask your entertainer for more detailed instructions
