i've had a guy come in looking like a krayt had eaten, digested, and "processed", in a manner of speaking. i was using my exotic macro, that starts with exotic4 and uses the flourishes through it, and the spin/shake flo to switch between the dances, and the two of us have a bit of conversation as he heals his mind/fatigue, and then he runs off without a tip, or a thank you. and i had a bunch of rebels that were resting from some pvp, and storm trooper killing, whilst in bestine, heal up their mind, and have some small talk, and they go in and out of the cantina for the better part of two hours, a couple of them had a duel, and one guy ended up getting killed as he had mind fire, and a bunch of other stuff, and comes back heals his mind, and not one of them tip me one cred, but to make up for that, i had a couple of guys come in and beg for me to give their group a buff, and paid me 20k to join their group, and buff the three of them... nothing as interesting as your experience, but odd, even though all but 5% of the population doesnt tip at all..
Edit: messed up with a sentance

(Names concealed to protect the innocent.)
Last night I was dancing in <major cantina>, and giving a buff to one patron, while another comes in and watches me briefly. Then he tips me 100k and heads to the exit.
I sent him a tell to the effect that he had accidentally put an extra zero on the tip! He replied "No, I meant to...you're just about the only live dancer I've ever seen."
At this point I'm flattered, ifa bit surprised, I mean I hang out with live dancers all the time. LOL!
So I send him another tell thanking him profusely and offering him a mind buff. "No," he says, "that's OK. Just don't tell everyone, especially <dancer>. She'd kill me."
Well <dancer> is a friend of mine, another rabidly at the keyboard entertainer. So I figure he must know her, and know I know her, even though I really don't know him. Overall very funny, cloak-and-dagger, and odd.
Then I thought maybe our mutual friend put him up to it. However, I can't really ask her, since he specifically told me not to tell her about the tip! LOL!! Ahh yeah....being a dancer...good times.

odd customers.. you mean besides the ones that want to marry you the moment they see you ?
hmm.. had a great experience yesterday on Dathomir. I went hunting Rancs, then, when I had like 20 minutes left on the buffs I went back to the starport. I raech for my ticket, then hear the dreaded hiss of the shuttle taking off.
I think by myself 'ah well, waiting anyway, might as well have some fun' so I pull out Beethoven and my mandoviolin and start a real show with ceremonial. Only one person started listening, after a couple of minutes she starts shouting 'This is a great show, let's all tip her!' after which like everyone around started listening and tipping.
in a couple of seconds I got like 30k in tips (which gets distributed among atk entertainers, had plenty of cash hunting)
then the shuttle landed and it was off to corellia again.. was an experience I'll smile about some time to come

On Starsider we used to have a naked fat guy who would dance in the Cnet starport. He ticked off a lot of people because he always stayed so close to the ticket collector, some would have difficulty clicking on it not to mention all the lag he caused with his smoke bomb effect and then there was his spamming. I was standing waiting for the shuttle one day when a fairly regular client of mine spotted me and asked me to dance along side this guy. Naturally, I obliged him. If you knew the naked fat guy, this felt like an odd request to begin with. Then the client thought it was "sweet" watching me get in sync with him. He seemed to enjoy watching that quite a bit. That made it even more odd.

I had a rather odd customer come in tonight. Well, I don't mean to say "odd" in the negative sense. It just seemed strange to me because nothing like this happened before. LOL
So, I'm in the Theed Cantina doing my exotic macro...it's a combination of exotics 2, 3, and 4 that I set up. I get bored doing just one type of exotic because each of them only has 2 flourishes that I use (I rarely ever use the one with the arms out to the side where you're all jiggly, it totally breaks up the flow of the smooth and slow exotics). So, I have a macro going that looks like an exotic dance with 6 flourishes.
Anyway, this guy walks in and stands in front of me. I've never seen him before in my life. It wasa decent length in front of me. He wasn't invading my personal "bubble" or anything like that. But, he's standing there watching me for a bit. And, then he does the /pointat emote at me. So, he's pointing at me and he said, "This guy's a great dancer. He's a pro." I say "Thank you." Then he says, "He's a PRO!" and points at me again. So, I kind of /chuckle. Then he points at me again, and says "This guy is an awesome dancer. He's the one who's getting my tips." Then he says, "This guy deserves tips. Watch this guy!" Then he sends me a /tell and we have a brief discussion about our professions, during which he says that he tries to be the best at his profession, and I must know how that is because I am the best at my profession. lol. So, I decide to just give him a courtesy buff and /setperf, because even though this all seems a bit odd to me, he is feeding my ego nonetheless, and you know how us entertainers just like that sort of thing. Then he says in spatial again that I'm a pro and points at me. Then he sits down in a chair and tips me exactly 45 credits then leaves. I tell him thank you.
LOL. Anyone else have any odd customers?

Just the other night I was dancing in Theed with a group of master musicians all ATK. It was a most refreshing change of pace
Anyway this guy comes up to me takes off all his clothes and then proceeded to do every /flirt, /kiss, etc. emote he could find in his underpants. I giggled at first and then just totally ignored him figuring he was just practicingemotes or something. He sat there forever continuing to emote at me and in group the band members are like "Man you have a stalker or something". I wasn't worried, he didn't talk just emote. After he obviously gotten to the bottom of his emote list, he thanked me, tipped me, put his clothes back on and left...

lol, it's amazing that the odd experiences we have are the ones that mostly include being appreciated and tipped
Just the other day I was at a Starport on Talus heading to Corellia. 4 mins left to wait, so I start dancing. Someone shows up to wait as well.
Ub-ick: "Hi SoandSo!"
SoandSo: "Hello"
Ub-ick: "And how are you this fine day?"
SoandSO: "Good, you?"
Ub-ick: "I'm great, thanks for asking"
*SoandSo has tipped you 20000 credits
It's amazing when that happens!

My husband doesn't talk a lot in cantinas. But he says the important stuff. He likes to go to the Mos Eisley Cantina (happy newbs having fun). When he is all healed up he'll say "Who is actually here?" Everyone who answers gets a 10k tip.
(Now VERY happy newbs having fun)

The oddest experience for me was when I was still a very new entertainer (had only been playing for a few weeks). I was dancing away in the Dearic Cantina having a grand time joking with the patrons when an Imperial Storm Trooper comes into the cantina (not an NPC but a player with ST armor) and after a few moments of just standing there he offers me 10 credits for sex. I politely declined his offer and as can be predicted he became a bit unruly but quickly departed when some of the other patrons began to take an interest in his combat skills. For the next several days, I got a few tells from the cantina regulars verifying that the Storm Trooper had indeed taken his healing needs else where. It's the kindness of all those other patrons that has really been the motivating factor behind my continuing to heal with dance despite the lack of tips or conversation and even the AFK craze.

the post about the stormtrooper reminded me of something that happened a few weeks ago.
I was dancing in Theed, working like crazy on dancing skills to be in form for CC7, when this stormtrooper walks up to me and asks if I would like to earn 100k fast by doing a gig at his base.
too bad it was like 5 a.m and I was going to bed, wouldn't have minded at all
if only I remembered his name I could send him a /tell , I think it was the name of an ancient greek philosopher /grin

That was another strange thing that happned to me. I actually did pick up a stalker while dancing. Ended up having to start a new char and that's why I have no sig on the forums.
