The following is an e-mail I wrote up to send to toons when we have to kick them out of the entertainer group in Theed on the Flurry server:
Welcome to Theed Cantina. If you are recieving this e-mail it is because you have ben removed from the entertainer group for a breech of the code of conduct generally accepted by most of the ATK entertainers who frequent Theed, especially normal group leaders. While there are several things that could have caused you to be removed, the most likely culprit is macro spam. Spam of any sort in any duration is not welcome here in Theed Cantina. We define spam here as anything set to repeat at a regular interval, including, but not limited to, requests for heals, requests for tips, emotes, and requests for invites. If you are worried about being disconnected, the flourishes in your macro are more than sufficient to keep you connected. If you're worried about stopping dancing/playing, put a /startdance or /startmusic line in your macro, you will continue dancing or playing when it gets back around. As far as tips, you're not even here, you don't deserve them, there's pleanty of live entertainment, let us worry about getting ourselves tips. If you're worried about invites if we see a person dancing/playing we'll invite if there's room, more xp for us, if you are spamming for invites expect to not get invited or eventually removed.
If these rules are unacceptable, the cantina in Coronet on Corellia is much more willing to accept this behavior, feel free to visit them.
Thank you for helping us keep Theed Cantina quite and fun
Theed and Coronet cantina used to be the two places to go to holo grind on flurry. AFK bots spamming crap as far as they eye could see in both places. The live entertainers of flurry decided to take back Theed. It took a while and pissing off a lot of people (mostly afk spam bots) but theed is now 99% spam free. I say 99% because once a week or so we get somebody who comes in and spams for a while. We of course try to reason with them first if they're there when the spamming starts, most of which see our way and gladly remove the offending material from thier macros. Some announce that spamming is thier right, and ask who put us in charge, to which we respond, why you and the other 15 people in the entertainer group. If they tell me its not my cantina I tell them thats what the last 100 spambots told me too, I'm still here they're not.
Anyway, just a suggestion from Flurry and encoragement to the rest of the ATK entertainers out there, keep up the good fight

I love it!
Yesterday, as I was playing some music in the Coronet cantina on Scylla, the group was pretty full. Okay, it was full. And, there were more people just arriving who wanted to join the group. The group leader went through and kicked all the LD people. But, the group was still full. So, he started going after the AFK people, removing them to make room for ATK entertainers. There was one person in the group that got really upset and told him (and the rest of us supporting his choice to remove AFK entertainers for ATK entertainers) that just wasn't the way you do it. You remove LD people and that's it. You never remove anyone else.
In the end, he got himself kicked out of the group and more room for ATK, non-grinding entertainers.
It's actually really great to see the number of ATK entertainers that have been around lately, both on Scylla and last week while getting ready for Cantina Crawl VIII on Bria.

There is nothing in the SOE rules that give anyone the right to spam or AFK - as a matter of fact, both are patently against the rules (despite the fact that little is done to curb either . . .). The next time someone tries to use this stupid line as their defense, point them in the direction of the nearest CSR and suggest they try getting resolution there . . . because it ain't gonna happen! No CSR in his/her right mind would demand someone be allowed to spam or remain in a group while AFK when ATK players are ungrouped. That's just plain absurd.

I wish the ATK entertainers of Starsider would do this. Starsider is afterall one of the unofficial RP servers. This should work, eventhough Starsider seems to be more populated.

Agreed. It just might work here. Something worth trying to see if it does.
