Last night the Gypsies officially opened their newest village on the outskirts of Four Rivers in a gala ceremony and party that lasted well into the night. Sources say that several luminaries from as far away as the outer rim were in attendance, though none could be identified amongst the partygoers due to the difficulty of identification without clothing. Many business people in Coronet were able to witness the extravagant fireworks show, which happened shortly after midnight, from the windows of their offices.
"I've never seen such lights," stated Beverly Wimmy, a beaurocrat in the municipal offices. "It looked like the horizon was on fire!"
"Dude, those bastards shattered my windows," exclaimed Haxx0r PantyHunter, a local resident. "F*$&ers sure as hell lit off a show and I'm gonna go make em pay."
Although several calls were made to security forces, no direct action was taken, which some have taken to mean that the CorSec forces might have been bribed to let the festivities proceed unabated. Although the Gypsy leader could not be located today for comment (something about a hangover), several residents of the Four Rivers city, near where the Gypsies are encamped, were more than willing to chat about their new neighbors.
"We love them. They've been nothing but great for business and traffic in the local area," stated one source who wished to remain anonymous. "By the way, have you seen my wallet?"
Imperial forces were noticibly absent during the event and the following day, perhaps another sign of illicit money exchanging hands. The Gypsies have long been accused of bribery and extortion, not to mention smuggling of all kinds, including drugs and spices, and have several court cases pending on several different worlds. Thus far, the Gypsies have declined to attend any court dates. Arrest warrants have mysteriously been ignored and the Gypsies continue to ply their trades wherever they wish.
Perhaps due to the success of their first event last night, the Gypsies have promised to follow up on their intention to hold further parties, every thursday night, most likely until they have been chased from the local region. A local citizen's group in Coronet has been picketing the town offices in protest of the Gypsy presense so close to their city, but thus far their voices seem to be falling on deaf ears. Their group has begun to threaten more direct action and has stepped up local propaganda to rally support against the Gypsy encampment. What looks to be an unstable situation could quickly spiral out of control, especially with the security forces standing on the sideline.

I think the SpecForce and Imperial Security may have been sucked into the party. It makes them think twice about opening their mouths when they know there are holovids somewhere of them dressed in pink panites and posed in various compromising positions with members of the alien race.
I'm sorry Iosan missed it!!
