Well I personally like it. (I seem to always be the Devil's advocate in the forums.)
Because, I think it adds more tension and realism to the performance. If it was not in there, everyone would just take the audition... not take it seriously... spam a bunch of macros.......... fail, /rinse;/repeat.
imho
I think this is why there is the 24-hour timer as well. It's to weed out the people who are not really serious about dancing. The devs have to figure out a way to weed out the annoying afk'ers/grinders.... this does not seem the best way to do it. Maybe they'll figure out a better way to do it for a future quest ![]()
And YAY, I FINALLY FINALLY passed my performance! weeee
The only way I could grudingly agree that 24 hours is acceptable is if the audience gave all the required information every time. If they tell me exactly what they want to see and what they don't want to see, then it's my own fault if I mess it up and I should have to wait a little bit before trying again. However, this is not the case - the randomness of the entire audience's usefulness is causing most of the problems, in my opinion.

I completely agree with this point. There should be no luck of the draw on the information you get from the audience. This truly adds no value to the quest. If you do what you're supp'd to do you should get rewarded and no one should be subjected to getting lucky or unlucky on how much info you get.
Some of the other quests in the game have a "luck" factor involving getting the drop you need but there is no wait time to keep on killing to try to find the drop.
This was a HUGE thing I disliked about EQ......long timers on respawns...days or even weeks and then hoping you got "lucky". It always just left me with a "thank heavens that's over" rather than a sense of satisfaction.
I have no problem with the timer but not getting the information that you need just leaves people feeling "wow I got screwed on that one and now I have to wait".
