Why? Becuase not only are you breaking the rules of the game ( remeber the fine print?), but you obviously dont like your proffesion or you'd be at the keyboard, doing flourishs and talking it up with the others players (you can talk to the other dancers you know...heck in moneia once we did a fashion show of all our clothes to amuse ourselves while we danced and waited for wounded players to come in).

you should not be rewards for breaking the rules, being a waste of space and generally being a bit deny to pay 40 bucks for a game then not actaully be there to play it.

I agree entirely. Sure as a dancer you may have to go to the bathroom, run errands, etc. your only human right? Likely it is the case, however, that you only wish to level. As any other profession in SWG you need to EARN your credits. AFK is NOT earning it I assure you. So as more AFK dancers join SOE's ranks of players the less, I think they will ultimately discover, they shall get tipped. HAPPY AFK DANCING y'all!

I tend to go into cantinas, whether I need it or not, and watch for a bit...folks that spend the time non-AFK get tipped (if you go afk for a few minutes and then come back, you get tipped)...and I make sure they know why I tipped everyone I tipped.

I disagree with that. If I get healing from a dancer or musician, afk or not they get a tip.

And, FYI, go back and reread the boards...afk macroing is NOT a violation of TOS.Third party macro programs are, but the devs included /afk command AND macros in the game. Use of those is legitimate.

If you don't like it, don't tip. That's your call. But I'll continue to do so.

It's just a game. You don't EARN anything by sitting there clicking a series of buttons. Lighten up and let people play the way they want to. Now, I will say this: I tip better when there is interaction... a smile or wink goes a long way.

Do we really have to create this thread so often??

I don't think that many people would disagree with you that AFK Ent's shouldn't be tipped, but that is not the point, the point is that most (sane) AFK Entertainers don't expect to get tipped, they don't care either way, the reason they AFK dance, is because they have come to the stunning realization that they have got about another 900 thousand dancing/musician xp points to get before they become Master, and that the easiest way of doing it is to leave their machine on while at work/school/college/sleep.

They like dancing, they like conversing with people, they like the joking that you get in Ent groups, but they just think that doing it for about 60 hours is a bit much!

They don't expect to be tipped, any that do are moronic, that I expect we agree on. But if someone chooses of their own accord to tip them, then that's a bonus.

And as for the 'breaking the rules of the game' line of ranting, Who cares, if someone else is breaking rules, how exactly is it affecting your gameplay? They are playing while away from the keyboard! It's not affecting anyone else?

Please, for the love of all that is good and pure, can we stop the whiny ass "Oh, AFK Dancers don't deserve tips" debates.
